Check the record book, twatlips, and I think you'll find that all of those "big wins" have disappeared. Something to do with ineligible players and $616,000, if this grumpy old man remembers correctly.M Club wrote:imagine, the two oldest guys here clucking like a bunch of hens. i didn't realize the fab 5 invented trash talk, but if that makes it easier for you to reminisce about the good ol' days, then by all means pretend otherwise.
the fab 5 won plenty of big games. and for such an undisciplined team they made three really deep runs into the ncaas, a tournament that weeds out lack of discipline rather quickly. otherwise, woe is the thug who struggles a bit during the transition from dominating high school competition to playing against people just as good or better than you.

actually, it's ineligible player. most of the money was spent on players who came after the fab 5.
those wins did happen. i watched them happen and went through all the emotions. suppose i could let the ncaa decide for me what's real and not, but they're also the same organization that will let ohio state play ineligible players in a bowl game but penalize my team for stretching an extra 20 minutes, so no.

They cheated, got caught, and all of the wins were vacated. That's the reality of it all....maybe not in the world of everything blue, but it is for the rest of us, and the Fab 5 will still be most remembered for the idiotic timeout and cheating.M Club wrote:actually, it's ineligible player. most of the money was spent on players who came after the fab 5.

If the wins didn't happen, did the timeout?

Good point. The chicken or the egg? The games happened, killian, but they had to forfeit the wins....so, yeah, the loss that occurred in the "timeout game" DID happen. They didn't have to forfeit that one because they lost it.
