Recalling all the hoopla around Pryor's recruitment, and the excitement OSU felt when they snagged him...was it worth it? I mean, even if all this shit hadn't rained down, was it a good fit?

Was the guy even that great? Was the Buckeye offense the problem, as in it never fit Pryor's talents...or was Pryor just not as good as advertised? OSU was good...really good at times, but I always felt that they weren't rolling up the yards and TDs that were expected when they signed the kid.

Maybe my distant view is distorted somewhat, but I've always thought the Buckeye/Pryor marrriage never really worked out on the field like folks had expected.

He didn't meet expectations (which were through the roof) but he was still pretty solid. Won a shit load of games, back-to-back BCS bowls, and I believe he's 2nd all-time in TDs scored for QBs at OSU.

probably has to do with osu being traditionally loaded that qb's have to generally wait till their junior or senior year to play. the occasional guy starts for three or even four years and - voila - he's suddenly setting school records.

pryor has something like a 31-4 record. considering most of osu's success came when limiting what he was allowed to do on the field, i'm pretty sure anyone else would have gone at least 33-2 (penn state 09, purdue 10).

And when you get out, realize your education isn't over. Some how some way, take classes from NITA. I've done the trial program and the deposition program, and it damn near gives you an unfair advantage over those who haven't been trained. I think they want you to have gone thru your first few trials before you do the programs --- in any event, if you are going to be a litigator, then you owe it to yourself to do these programs.

I bumped around that website a bit. Those courses are a bit pricey. Of course, they last several days, so it's possible to get most, if not all, of my CLE requirement knocked out by a single course (in New York, you need 24 CLE hours every two-year registration period, at least four hours of which have to be in ethics. So with a three-day course, I figure at most I'd need an ethics course on top of that). Truth be told, I probably spend about that much, or reasonably close to it, on CLE courses, but not in one fell swoop. When you figure in hours of instruction, law school is actually pretty cheap by comparison.

Just like in real life when the D.A. comes to an offender and tells them we have you pegged, this is the evidence we have so far with your involvement, you have two options: cooperate with us and we'll make sure you get a lenient sentence or when we convict you, and we are going to, we're going to make sure the book gets tossed at you. USC basically gave the NCAA the finger and told them to fuck off at every opportunity and the NCAA made an example of them, and rightfully so, for being blatant fuck sticks. USC only has itself, its players, and it's administration for the harshness of the penalties not the NCAA.

Constantly hear that argument but when the NCAA thanks USC for their cooperation in the investigation it leads me to believe that those saying USC didn't cooperate are full of shit and are trying to justify why USC was treated differently than any other school and cover up the NCAAs obvious agenda.

that being said, NOBODY at USC tried to cover things up, USC was busted for "should have known", Ohio State had its head coach and likely many of their administrators in on a cover up, they even involved the Big 10 commissioner in on it politicking to allow OSU to play all of their players in the BCS Bowl. If USC said , "we looked at out boosters and our coaching staff and our administrators and none of them provided any illegal benefits to Bush or any other player" and that turned out to be true, how is that deserving of more punishment than "we knew our players were cheating, we covered it up so they could play the entire season plus the bowl game"?

OSU deserves a 2 year TV ban, 4 year bowl ban and 50 scholarships over 5 years taken away and an 8 year probation at the very least based on what they have been proven guilty of thus far.
