This is one of the few numbers retired at Michigan. Four brothers wore this number during the 1930's and 1940's and almost all of them fought in WWII. No one has worn number 11 at Michigan since 1949.

I say blame TV for having those odd ball openers on Thursday and Friday before opening day Saturday. At least there are 4 ranked teams involved in those early games. The gem of the weekend is obviously LSU-Oregon on Saturday night.

I'm a fan of the weeknight games. More cfb on tv = a good thing. Kinda cool gettin' home from work on a Thurs night, crackin a beer, and watching some cfb.

I don’t for a minute believe that Wisky will fall all the way down to the Gator Bowl, but even if we did I’m sure we’d have a better showing than Michigan did this year, eh?
