Hey Mucho... Darrell Scott?

Post by MiketheangrydrunkenCUfan »

Just wondering what the local vibe is on my favorite punter. Is he gonna be starting this year? I tried looking him up on NCAA 12 just to see how they rated him and he's not even in the game...

D'oh! Shit, man. Totally missed that thread. Sorry for the glass dick and thanks for the reset.

I do hope he does well. Can't really blame anyone for wanting to get off the sinking ship that was the Hawkins regime. It's not like he was just some pussy little bitch who bailed on the team (see Houston, Marcus and Och, Craig).

i thought Barney had a chance to control the Big XII North with Houston and Ochs. two 5 star gets in Colorado to CU.

Houston gets hurt and Ochs gets some kind of prayer/concussion thing with Barnett. IMO, Houston was the real deal....he was strong, shifty....reminded me of david overstreet.

edit: i saw lorenzo booker's name for the first time in a uear or two in a Dallas pre-seaon game.

Houston was obviously a great HS back, but he never amounted to shit at CU, CSU or in the pros. Who knows how much his injury had to do with derailing his career, but I'd stop short of calling him the "real deal."

Not sure I follow you on the Lorenzo Booker mention...

#1/5 star backs who weren't all that. Colorado has had 2 this decade.

Booker had a nice sr. year. i was pretty impressed with Houston before the injury. It's easy to bag on the kid, but most CU fans i know felt the same when pressed to honesty. the bogus transfer to CSU tends to color the issue. i did think him getting stoned on the goal-line was a nice moment for CU.

He's #2 on the depth chart now, but he'll still see his share of carries.

We haven't had a good running back, or running game for that matter, since Andre Hall left. I feel comfortable with Murray and Scott, but wouldn't be surprised if Scott goes to the starter early on in the season.

I always thought it was petty obvious from his first live game action that Marcus wasn't very fond of contact and was very, very fond of Marcus. He whined like a wet bitch when his position coach called him "Marquisha".

Scott is about to declare for the NFL draft. I have to say I am surprised by this.

He showed some real positive things out there, but mainly against lesser opponents. I felt the coaching staff misused him a bit and didn't give him enough carries.
