Great game in the Big House

Post by BSmack »

Great 2 minute drill by the Domers after an outstanding comeback from Michigan. Can Michigan send it into OT?

First night game at the Big House really seemed like an amazing scene.

FTFY. The lack of defense on both sides, in addition to the night game, has Bo rolling in his grave.

My girlfriend isn't a football fan herself, she is more of a girl's girl but she tolerates my vice admirably. I even just stayed home this weekend and caught what I could at the house before we went out; probably can count on one hand how many times I have done that over the last dozen years. We were out socially at a our one and only local honky tonk Saturday evening but they have scattered TVs so the males in the group caught the fourth quarter there . . . even she was jumping up and down at the game so that to me tells me just how exciting it was to even the non-football die hard to enjoy.

It was a thriller but neither team is all that good. Michigan's secondary was getting torched...Floyd and Riddick wore them out. Notre Dame killed themselves again with a turnover in the red zone. My favorite Michigan comeback is still the "Braylon game". Shoelace is so much fun and a likeable kid...he keeps it interesting. Considering what they've got the next 4 weeks, they could be unbeaten again going into the MSU game.

There are Pop Warner QBs with better arms than Shoelace.

He can throw it downfield but he can't lead a receiver to save his life. They've made the jumpball adjustment to the underthrow into an art form. I don't know why any defender would play over the top of a receiver on a deep route considering guys like Roundtree or Hemingway have to stop, step up and leap for a deep ball. It's not the way to do it but it's worked for him. He could be Josh Cribbs or Brad Smith in the NFL but his QB days are over after he leaves Michigan...too small and not a legitimate thrower of the ball.

That game down the stretch was an instant classic, both teams balled big time. Glad I caught it. Place was rockin'...

"shoelace" is a funny nickname to me.

Mostly because when growing up my dad woukd try to talk
football with us but would never know any players names so
he would always say "tyrone shoelaces" or "jerome shoelaces"

That was the best atmosphere I've ever witnessed at the Big House. The crowd was loud from a half hour before kickoff until a half our after the game ended. Nobody wanted to leave, it was awesome!
