When this Better Than Ezra music for people in a coma and wish to remain in a coma was released I was listening to other pop music. And there was a lot of shitty pop rock back then. Seemed like every bar chord bar band that was sensitive and playing college towns got a record deal. Better Than Ezra, Gin Blossoms, Hootie, Counting Crows, Collective Soul and Matchbox 20; fucking ponderous.
