BWAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!

Tebow pulls one drive out of his ass following another entire game of explosive diarrhea...it's nearly all runs...and the Mississippi St Jets collapse against the Denver Gators like a $6.99 Walmart tent!

Welcome to your future, Bronco fans: the full-time power option spread! It's just you against the world now.

Holeeeeeeey sheeeit.

Yes.
Probably the best in our division.

Good defense and a good rushing attack = competetive.

Prepackaging your excuse already. God, you're pathetic.
So what's your call on this game?

Just something basic: who wins and a score prediction
I didn't think they were going to win. I thought with Moreno going on IR and MacGahee questionable, they wouldn't be able to generate enough offense to win. That said, I'm not in the least bit surprised to see that they pulled it out.

Winners win. Whatever it takes, they find a way. 95 yards of last minute "Here it comes. Imma kick you in the nuts now" to clinch the game is starting to become a pattern.

I will make a prediction right now, though. The Broncos will embarass the Chargers next week.

Okay, Felix referenced it, but someone needs to give the Denver defense just a fuckton of credit for what they've accomplished ever since Orton got yanked. Even tonight they scored as many points as the Denver offense, whose only other three points came as a result of an extremely short field following another stellar effort by the defense.

Sure, the shorthanded Jets were never going to do much offensively tonight, but damn! Week after week lately, that Denver defense is just killing it.

This is going to be hilarious to watch, an NFL team attempting to run the power option as a full-time offense. Swear to god, when they showed Elway up in the booth following Tebow's TD run it looked like he was going to hurl. He knows he's stuck with this shit now, and at least for the short-term there's no turning back.

Somewhere in Georgia, Paul Johnson has to be rubbing his hands together while thinking, "So you're telling me there's a chance...."

Does Denver have any PLAYERS (backs & receivers) which would allow for a coach to use a wide-open offensive style?

Not only that, but Orton is limited in what he can do... and we know about Tebow.

Fox has you guys at 20.5 pts a game - and that's pretty decent, given what he's working with.

my statement stands on it's own merits....denver has a plodding offense that doesn't have quick strike capabilities....nothing has changed my opinion on that....what has changed is my opinion of the defense...they're playing lights out....and tebow is a winner...he may be a shitty thrower but he wins fucking games...and in the final analysis, isn't that what matters?

It's a plodding offense.

But you were bitching about it and saying it wouldn't work - and I said he was doing the right thing - before Denver won 4 of 5.

Joe said this...

Felix wrote:yeah the game has advanced while he's remained pretty stagnant.....his plodding offensive style is well-offensive, and ineffective in this day and age of high flying offensive attacks....you've have to have quick strike capabilities in the NFL and Denver doesn't have it.....

the only problem with running that kind of an offense (plodding style), is that you need a defense that can limit your opponents to 20.4 pts per game...Denver doesn't have that kind of defense....Fox opts for a slug-it out approach and in the long run, that's just not going to work with the personnel Denver has....
You should have been kissing Fox's pinky ring, because his approach was allowing his team to remain competetive, allowing them to STAY IN GAMES.
Instead you were bashing him, saying he was wrong.

YOU were wrong about everything (LOLZ) and now that Fox's approach has proven out to have been correct, you're too much of a knucklehead to come correct.

With your approach, the team would be sitting at 2-8 right now, because you're nothing more than a gibbering internet HACK.

in the first four games, denver's defense was the suck, but for some reason, they've started playing really, really well....so, my original assessment stands as I wrote it....the thing that's changed is the defense.....
You should have been kissing Fox's pinky ring, because his approach was allowing his team to remain competetive, allowing them to STAY IN GAMES.

that sort of an offense is not sustainable and if you'd like to present me arguments why it is, I'll be more than happy to listen to them....

come correct about what? that Fox and co. have schemed games to take advantage of Tebow's strengths and minimize his weaknesses? where did I ever say that was the wrong approach? and secondly, what approach for Denver did I propose?

but I'll tell you what, why don't you go ahead and find me some statistics that would prove a team that has a passing output of 100 yards/game is a formula for consistently winning NFL games....

visiting with fellow bronco fans, the consensus was pretty much the same as mine....denver fans are pleasantly surprised at the bronco's success.....definitely as surprised as everyone else......

Back on October 25th, when you gave your internet hack take that Fox is way too conservative with the offense, and that it was going to prove to be ineffective, you obviously thought he should have been opening it up, right?

Yes, of course.
That's why you were bitching like a typical Hee Hew bitch fan.

Well if anything, Fox has PULLED THINGS IN MORE and become MORE conservative since October 25th.

And it's been a recipe for success.

absolutely, but tebow just doesn't have the throwing capability....I don't see how this is a contradiction...I still don't think this offensive approach is sustainable, but as long as the defense continues to make plays, it's working...

No, he isn't. Why would he think that? The team was 1-4 and left for dead before Tebow took over and now they're almost certain to win the division after they beat the Chargers next week.

All they need to do is get Tebow to settle down in the pocket and improve his completion percentage. These things will come with time and experience. Right now he's putting points on the board and he isn't turning it over which is a huge help for the defense.

Orton threw 7 picks and was 1-4. Tebow has thrown 1 pick and is 4-1. That isn't a coincidence.

Most astute football fans could recognize that he obviously didn't have the horses to run any kind of wide open offense that you were crying for, and that it would only make things worse.

What's known here is that you are a whiny lady fan who doesn't understand football basics.

I knew Fox was handling things as he should, given the personnel he has.

Start tossing the ball around the yard when you don't have the players for it, and you'll find yourself on the wrong end of numerous blowouts faster than one can say, "Where'd you hide that potato, pinky?"

okay, go ahead and point out where I was lobbying for Denver to throw the ball long....it doesn't exist....I said Fox brought a plodding offense and in today's professional game, that type of offense typically doesn't work because I didn't think Denver had the defense to make it work....the Detroit debacle was a perfect example of that....the defense got blown out of the water by a really good offense

Tebow sounded pretty bright to me. He was able to articulate his reads on the game winning play, avoid the temptation of buying into his own hype despite repeated invitations by the NFLN talking heads to do so, talk extemporaneously about a hospital he is building in the Philippines and articulate his views about the relative importance of football versus real life. You try doing that while 1000 or so drunks are chanting your name and you are being peppered by questions from all angles. You are seriously one ignorant drunk twat if you think that what Tebow was doing in that interview demonstrated a lack of brainpower..

You wanted Fox to have the boys start slinging it around - because, you said, Dungver doesn't have the personnel to "slug it out" conservatively.

You had your head up your ass, because that is EXACTLY the kind of personnel they have.

Orton was a game-manager and couldn't sling it around successfully - and Fox would have been an idiot to try, as you would have liked.
Enter Tebow - and you've got to dial it back even that much further.
