You are truly one of the worst pieces of shit to ever post on this board. Start giving up your paycheck for reparations now and then you can shut the fuck up about your racist blasts.

Was watching live I thought I was hearing things. ESPN didn't waste any time having him apologize during the Neb/Mic game.

I was brainstorming Thursday night for a creative sign to have made by the folks at Kinko's, but it never happened as I was forced to work this weekend. Fortunately, I was able to set up my slingbox on my laptop via cell phone tethering and was able to watch the entire Gameday broadcast and the football game itself.

This was a huge step for Houston as far as national exposure and the endless campaign for new facilities. I was so giddy to see the crowd, the Rinaldi piece on Keenum, and Carl Lewis making the Alum appearance at the end of the show. This is beyond what any Cougar Alum, faculty member, student, and Houstonian ever expected for the football program ever since they were booted to mid-major status.

My mother, a professor and researcher at UofH for the past 15 years, called me during the Gameday broadcast balling with tears of joy. She has seen that campus transform from a commuter school to somewhat of a real college campus over the years and today was euphoria for her. Hell, I am probably more happy for her than the football program itself.

As for Corso, I thought it was a perfect ending to a great show. Twelve operators were huddled around my 17" laptop screen watching Gameday and Corso's f-bomb sent them all scattering in the control room bursting in laughter. I couldn't stop laughing at Fowler burying his head in embarrassment when Corso let his tongue get loose. It was just the way Corso delivered that f-bomb that made it so much better than any other ill-advised f-bomb I've heard on network television through the years. "Ah...fuck it!" That is the new rallying cry of every Coogs fan from this day forward. Thank you Lee Corso.

And last but not least, the game. SMU took away the deep ball by doubling over the top on Edwards all day. Their game plan to keep everything in front of them worked really well today. Keenum still had success moving the ball downfield, but the playcalling and execution inside the redzone in the first half was terrible. Everyone looked timid inside the redzone. It was like they were afraid of making a mistake early on. They ended up putting it together late in the first half and for the remainder of the game, but hats off to SMU for keeping Houston in check for as long as they did. The Houston defense, on the other hand, showed me something today. They showed me that all three units (D-line, LBs, and D-backs) were finally on the same page with the scheme. Best defensive effort I've seen from a Houston team in years. SMU didn't have their best RB today and that definitely limited some of their playcalling, but McDermott is one of the better QBs in C-USA and the Coogs front seven gave him fits along with the secondary's coverage. It was just a near perfect day for the defense. Run defense was tops, constant pressure on the QB, forced turnovers, and never gave up the big play. Defense gets the game ball today.

This is the first time this season where I can actually say with a little bit of confidence that Houston can run the table and make it to a BCS bowl. Tulsa's been playing great football of late, but I think Houston can win that game with what I saw today. That is, of course, if the defense can play like they did today. I think Keenum and crew will have a bounce back game in Tulsa and move the ball a little more effectively than they did against SMU today. These next six days are going to move like molasses for me. I've officially bought into this team.
