Nebraska vs. Michigan. IT'S ON!!!

WELL, This "bad feelings" goes back to the memorable 1997 season for me. We all know that michigan fan savours that very special year. You guys were truly great that year. BUT, at years end, so was Nebraska. IN FACT, really big strong and scary great. The scenario went like this, michigan, undefeated at years end, barely escapes the no. 10 ranked washington st squad, led by Ryan Leaf.
Nebraska gets the no. 3 ranked sec champion Tennessee Vols, led by the legendary Peyton Manning.
RESULTS?
Michigan barely survives, due to the fact that Wash st. runs out of clock, so the wolverines breathe a huge sigh of relief.
Nebraska? well, basically, they brutally sodomized not only a future hall of famer, but the no. 3 team and the sec champions. And when I say "sodomize", I am being very very kind, I was at the game.
SO, we met michigan again a few years ago in some forgettable bowl, and beat em', NOW?
WE ARE IN THE BIG TEN, and this will be a natural rivalry for decades to come.

Hey brad, I seem to remember a game Nebrask barely survived that year. Remember that one? Ya know, the game that where your player-- may have been the kicker-- had to make a World Cup Soccer move to beat a soft Mizzou team in Columbia. The same Mizzou team that Ohio State throttled earlier in the season? Care to re-live that weekend again?

i can hardly be bothered to care about nebraska, i'm so concerned about the osu game. wish this were indiana week instead.

winning out would put michigan as the second-best big ten team as far as the bcs bowl selection process goes, so i suppose there's that.

Good memory there L45B, HOWEVER, if you want to play that game, I'll play along. See, nebraska isnt the only team to have a close call that season, THINK ABOUT IT? You call mizzou soft? At least they were a bowl team, HOW BOUT michigans' close scare against a 4-7 crap team?

You didnt forget that one? did ya? YEP, michigan barely gets by a piece of shit 4-7 notre dame squad, that was pure garbage. SO, if we are keeping score, nebraska wins that battle, seeing how mizzou was a bowl team, which is better than a 4-7 crap team.
OH, and michigan's squeaker was at home, while nebraska's was a road game.

BOTTOM LINE? come January, BOTH teams were UNDEFEATED, based solely on their play on the field, Nebraska clearly was the superior team.

In any event,I expect the QB Denard to give Nebraska's linebackers fits all game long. I'd like to see Lavonte David spy his ass the whole game and put some whacks on him so he starts lofting up some shit balls rather than take another hit.

It'll be a shitty-throwing (as in horrible technique) quarterback duel that's for sure. I'm sure we'll see all sorts of misdirected balls at some point.

Besides being at home, NU and MU are pretty much dead even for offensive statistics. Michigan's defense allows fewer points and yards. Because the stats are almost even, you would have to give the advantage to Michigan. But Dennard is banged up I hear. NU is fairly healthy on offense right now. Martinez has been playing fairly solid QB play lately. He's actually batting 57 percent with only 7 Interceptions. Since the Wisconsin game where he threw 3 Ints, he's only thrown 2 in 5 games. He's starting to get the offense and just manages the game better. Even against Northwestern, he went 27-37 passing.

I'm thinking with Nu's health at QB and that Michigan is looking ahead to the tOSU game that NU pulls out a close one.

I get excited about BIG games like this, michigan fan has a chip on their shoulder since 97. I remember MU fan saying that the coaches picked nebraska due to the fact that Dr. Osborne was retireing, BULLSHIT!!!

Happy Valley can be a raucous environment when PSU is capable of scoring more than 6 points and when they don't have to play a game a few days after their coach is fired for covering up child rape.

A battle of two of the worst passers in D-I football...look away if either guy drops back. I give Michigan a shot in this one since they're not playing in Lincoln. Touissant has gone for 170+ in two of the last three games...he's really come on late in the season.

Turnovers, poor special teams and getting dominated in time of possession...can't win doing that. Am I out of line to say that is the best Michigan win since Lloyd retired? We can't handle mobile qb's, they give us fits. Cousins is up our alley. Helped that you didn't commit to running the ball. Mich smartly rode Dennard and the kid was on.

Also, we didn't blow our leg off against MSU, not all the crappy ST's-play, fumbles, and dropped balls we saw today. You want to lose games that is how you do it. We needed a clean game to win today and we flat-out shat the bed.
