Through much of the poll’s 62-year history, coach’s individual ballots were kept secret, but that changed after 2004, when California missed out on a Rose Bowl bid after Texas coach Mack Brown urged coaches to vote for his Longhorns. Since 2005, the coaches’ ballots in the final regular-season poll have been disclosed. Ballots from earlier in the season still aren’t made public.
So let's see, the Big 12 sends their 5th best team while the Pac 12 sends their 3rd best team. While during the last 13 years (Big 12 vs PAC 10/12) the Big 12 has sent two teams to the BCS games 5 times. So five of the 13 games have had the Big 12 number 6 against the Pac 12 number 3. Plus the game is played in the PAC 12's backyard, while it is 900 miles and two time zones from the closest Big 12 school. Despite all that the Big 12 still has a winning record in the game. BWAHHHHHHHH!
Hey M2, you better hope Cal doesn't sell this as some sort of revenge game as your post implies. Just ask Nebraska in '10 and ATM in '11 how those revenge games worked out for them. Don't worry about correcting some perceived wrong or it will go very wrong.

Texass will be lucky to score more than 10 points on Cal's defense... even if Maynard pulls his typical 5 turnover game... Cal won't have much of a problem beating the OVERRATED Tejas team.
You did read the Wall Street Journal article I posted... right?
Cal was ranked the # 2 team in the country by the coaches and the computers ... and Tedford felt they had Southern Mississippi beaten and decided to NOT run up the score on them... and it backfired on him.
Yeah, "Kneepads" has some payback coming and it will be well deserved.
Overrated Texas team? Uhhh, what are you smoking, I don't see anyone saying they are anything but a middle of the road Big 12 team. 4 or 5 losses going into a bowl game is pretty mediocre. If they do go to the Holiday Bowl that will mean 4 others passed on them. Yeah, you keep running that revenge against an overrated team mess and Harv will be laughing his ass off come the morning of Dec 29th.

Yeah, I have also seen the Texas defense in person twice. Running the ball against them is very tough.
Given that, and the adventures Cal has when they throw the ball, I would bet Harv likes his chances. Plus like I said, Mack has some sort of magic for these "revenge" games when teams look to even some percieved wrong.

If they beat Baylor this weekend then that will be just about right for an 8-4 team with 2 losses to top 10 teams. If they lose to Baylor they rightfully won't be ranked.
Where is the problem with that?

They won't...
So you just made my point. Thanks! Have a good night.
Actually, you just made "my" point...
You do remember when a Texass a & m ... tried to make the claim that they were one of the best teams in the country by losing just 3 games by a total of 6 points ???
Let me help you out with how "reality" went down...
You know it can only be the work of Mdrool when we're seeing a youtube clip of a freaking Holiday Bowl with lowly ATM as the opponent...and it wasn't posted with the intention of ripping on his own team.

Actually, UT is the XII's sixth best team, and will continue to remain so should Baylor win as expected in Waco this Saturday.
But the XII isn't about to let a trivial little thing like W-L standings get in the way of their perfectly good bowl slotting formula. Perhaps if they had done so in the past, they probably wouldn't be playing roadies in Morgantown next season....
I have not been running my mouth this year. We have no offense...but that happens when you start young players. Even if we scored 10 on Cal, they would be lucky to score at all against our defense. I think in 2013, we will compete for a MNC. Just my opinion. It seems like we are good in odd years......05,09,13.....just sayin'
I hope and pray we get Cal. I would love nothing more that to watch Cal get BFITM by another Big XII team......I still think there are seminal samples in the back of Tedford's throat from the last time they played Tech in a Holiday Bowl......the 4th best Big XII team that year. Who Texas beat by 30 points.
Please....if there is a god......let us play Cal......
imma agree a little bit with Harv. Texas should be sick upfront, front 7 next year or in a couple years. not sold on the young guys in the DB...Ash/McCoy etc.....but, they will be outright sinister on the DL.
""On a lonely planet spinning its way toward damnation amid the fear and despair of a broken human race, who is left to fight for all that is good and pure and gets you smashed for under a fiver? Yes, it's the surprising adventures of me, Sir Digby Chicken-Caesar!"
"
Can't really score much with a young offense? Really?
If Barkley comes back, so will Matt Kalil, the nation's best O-lineman. If they both come back, USC returns their entire offense, including multiple underclassmen on the O-Line. Those two vaunted wide receivers, Woods and Lee? Woods was a true sophomore and Lee a true freshman. Curtis McNeal the TB is young. Randall Telfer the TE was either a freshman or sophomore, his backup a freshman.
On the other side of the ball, all three of USC's starting LBs were freshmen. All but one of their DBs were underclassmen, including one or two freshmen. Only the D-Line had any real experience.
Point being, it's not merely a matter of age and experience. It still comes down to talent and coaching. Clearly, this year's Texas offense was lacking in either one or the other, or possibly both.

Why don't you just go ahead and tell us how you "pray" for anal sex... ???
Stupid fucking t sips...
Really Milton? You want to go there? I find it rather amusing that you would bring up anal sex. Coming from your cock holster it is not that far fetched. I mean, you live in San Francisco, you sell wind-chimes to a bunch of retards dressed up like fairies, and you follow a fag team in Cal. You want to question my sexuality? Please.
Now go find the next Renaissance Fagstival and pray that you don't have to play Texas.....or Baylor....or any school from the Big XII or you will feel like Jon when he became the chicken-hawk of this board.
You'd think this pussy would wait till after the bowl game... but, once this "Queer Steer" found out he'd have to play Cal... he's bailing out after the Baylor game.
There's only one team in College Football Mack "Kneepads" Brown fears... and that's Cal.
I'm sending him a pair of kneepads as a retirement gift...
