Tardd Haley Out!
...kinda had a feeling he'd get whacked immediately after witnessing that live abortion yesterday in the Cancerlands.
So who should be interim? Mo Caurthon? Romeo Crenell? Jim Zorn?
Having three losses hung on you as you close out a season isn't much of a job interview...

They have Romeo Crennel bumping around. I've missed old Bookman stumbling around on the sidelines. The Chiefs would be a perfect fit.Goober McTuber wrote:Too bad KU already snapped up Charlie Weis.

Re: Tardd Haley Out!
So, I hear Haley is heading to ASU. If true, that didn't take long.
But yeah, that meltdown yesterday certainly warranted he be fired immediately. If Tyler freaking Palko was my best option at QB, I'd beg to be fired.

Re: Tardd Haley Out!
The ONLY thing preventing that from happening is the sound of season ticket renewel notices being ripped to shreds.Joe in PB wrote:Josh McDaniels....... good luck with that.
We hate that guy as much as Denver does. Hunt and Pioli couldn't be that stupid. Er...

This is a shame really. I'll be sad to see him go.
Now why would he want to walk into a complete rebuilding project for a shit team in shit hole when he can return home to Southern California and take over a team that already has some of the key pieces in place?Truman wrote:Fish is the leader in the clubhouse with the fanbase, BTW...

It isn't anything near a complete rebuilding project.

The fact that the AFC West offers a much easier path than the AFC East to a Divisional crown does make San Diego an awfully compelling choice, though. If that team ever didn't underachieve, they'd be downright scary. Oh, and more than likely Fisher whips that defense into shape right quick.
Choosing a moribund K.C. franchise over San Diego or Miami would just be stupid. It's not the move a guy with options would ever make, and Fisher is a guy with options. K.C. is a destination for some hot assistant coach...or Josh freaking McDaniels. Miami is a destination for a Fisher, Cowher or Gruden, except for the fact that Ireland is still there, and he's the boat anchor preventing anyone with any real clout from wanting to go there.
So, San Diego it is. K.C. will get the leftover scraps.

Re: Tardd Haley Out!
I'd say the upside for the next few seasons favors the Queefs rather than the Chargers. San Diego still has durability issues in their backfield. Antonio Gates is hurt all the fucking time as well. Jammer can't cover anymore, Cason gets pushed around by bigger, more physical receivers, and Gregory is shit in run support.
KC has one of the better corners in Flowers, Eric Berry is coming back, along with Tambi. On the offensive side of the ball, they will get Maoki and Charles back as well. All KC needs is to do is shore up that o-line, get some depth on the front seven, hire a good coach and draft Matt Barkley.
KC is close to being a really good team for years to come. A good QB will solve most of their problems.

Re: Tardd Haley Out!
I agree with Rumps.
KC is the more attractive gig.
The QB piece IS a big piece, so something has to happen there, but they've got a lot of other pieces in place and they have quite a bit of youth that a good coach can mold.
Also, SD is and always has been a soft franchise.
Be it the weather, the limp fan base, or whatever... it's just always been a team that has been lacking a perceived toughness.
I see SD as a team in decline that has a potentially good QB and not much else for the next couple of years.
I don't see KC as a team in decline, necessarily, but one that was dealt a rough hand this year with injuries - and saddled with a hyper coach who's a little too full of himself.
KC has a very enthusiastic fan base that REALLY wants a winner to get behind.
I think a good coach could saddle up in KC and get that team in contention in the weak west in short order.
San Diego is a faggot town.

"San Diego is a faggot town."
I'm sure you meant San Fran Pops...San Diego is a military town and the Marines and Navy presence there keeps the fag count to a minimum. Now if you meant to say "Babe town" I concur.
