Are you ready for some football???
My favorite day of the year....well, today and the first weekend of the NCAA basketball tournament.
Looking forward to the Big 10 - SEC matchups in the early games, the Rose Bowl, and the Stanford-Okie State matchup. This should be an entertaining day in front of the TV. Running to Hy-Vee on a beer run and don't plan to leave the man cave until the final gun of the final game. Hope all of you twatlips have a great day of football.

I have a love/hate relationship with this day. The games I want to watch most are always on same day, same time.

3-4 games on simultaeneously means the remote will get a workout and the commercials can go fuck themselves.

The Michigan State and Nebraska games are the only conflicts for me and I'm debating whether to bring a second TV to the basement or just watch Sparty and check in on the Huskers during commercials and timeouts.

mostly looking forward to the Fiesta Bowl in hopes that Okie Lite will cause Mikey to cry in his peach schnaps or whatever his faggotty fruity beverage of choice is.

Doesn't matter if it's on New Year's Day or any other day, here in PAC Country, the Granddaddy is a holiday in and of itself.
I will party like... it's a party or something.
Then, after the Roses, I hop in the truck and head to Southern Oregon to get an early start on work tomorrow morning. Might have to break some speed limits so as to get to the hotel in time to watch the end of the Fiesta... hopefully, it's on Redneck Radio on the drive.

Agreed, the NFL should've played all their games on New Years Eve, just as they played all but one on Christmas Eve. New Years day should always be for Bowl games.Papa Willie wrote:I love pro ball, but it just didn't seem right yesterday without a day full of college games.

Don't know about the others but the Rose Bowl has NEVER been played on a Sunday.

Yesterday was really one of the best college bowl days I can remember....great games that we're highly entertaining to watch and very competitive (s'up not nebraska, Penn St.)
my faves were
georgia/sparty-1
ducks/wisky-2
stanfurd/okie light-3
things I learned
De' Anthony Thomas is even faster than I originally thought (that fucker may catch on fire one day from the friction he creates when he runs)
Blackmon is going to be a monster receiver (ala Calvin Johnson) in the NFL
Montee Ball is a really tough runner
stanfurd has got a couple of really good offensive linemen
Weeden is old enough to be a coach
