Your boys have been through hell with the media circus surrounding them this season, but they've played their asses off and turned in a decent season considering the circumstances. All kiddo-diddling jokes aside, I wanted to see what Houston could do against a legit D1 defense and I believe Penn State is one of the better defenses in all of college football.

This will be tough. Not sure where Keenum and Co.'s heads are at after losing fame, millions of dollars, and a shot at a top five ranking four weeks ago, but if they are ready to play then this should be a good game.

Houston wants some redemption and they'll get it.

I actually think McGloin not playing in this game is a good thing for PSU. The dual qb thing has not worked out at all. Interesting match up and clash of styles...too bad it's on ESPNU. :brad:

If you think that after all that's happened, this isn't PSU's Super Bowl, then you're not thinking very well.

Boise beating Oklahoma for other examples.
More silliness -- the outcome of that game was due to the fact that BSU was the better team. And so was Utah, although SECBSH would never admit such a thing, since that would require "class," which the SEC has outlawed.
Fucking game isn't even on tv.

I'm watching it as I type, at the chicky's house... won't be on my TV when I get home, but it certainly is "on tv."

What I was thinking as well.

But lets entertain the idea of Penn State playing a bowl game they don't care anything about. What about Houston? Are they playing the bowl game they want right now? Is this their Super Bowl or was it that silly little game in New Orleans against another BigTen opponent for a $17 million check?

Gee...let me think.

Yeah, there's a bunch of logic behind the idea "Nah, none of those kids, especially the outgoing seniors, give a shit if they get embarrassed on national TV by getting sanduskied by a 'nobody' program."

Notice it's blueblood fans, usually Southerners that roll out this "logic" to explain why they lost to a superior team?

I know PSU has no offense but where the hell is their D? The last TD pass had a receiver running all alone down the middle of the field. I don't have ESPNU, so I'm only seeing the occasional highlights.

Kent Brooks with the big hit on the sideline there to break up that deep pass. He is Mrs. Rumps' former student.

It's his standard, pussy excuse so he never has to be "wrong." If the team he picked wins, then it was supposed to happen. If the team he picked loses, it's only because they didn't care or try.

That's your typical elitist copout bullshit. You just can't seem to fathom that a non BCS school has any business being better than what you perceive as a blueblood. So, the only reason Houston is taking PSU to the woodshed is that they don't give a shit and are let down.

Pathetic reasoning. Like Rumps pointed out (before and after your ignorant comment), if any team had a reason to be let down, it was Houston after losing a shot at a perfect record and BCS bowl.

and the best part? They're 6.5 point favorites. I guess the oddsmakers knew PSU would mail it in as well. :meds:

Not as big as my mistake. The whole time I've been flipping between channels this morning I thought I had Houston in Pick 'Em. I was sure of it. When I read that McGloin wasn't going to be able to play, I was stoked.

Just now I checked my pick, and...nope. For some reason I wrote "PSU."

Wtf? No idea how that happened.

I'm just stoked Houston has a legit win on their 2011 schedule. Taking Penn State's D to the woodshed was vindication that this offense can move the ball against better D1 defenses. I'm happy for Houston this year and I'm happy Keenum received a 6th year of eligibility. That decision by the NCAA perhaps opened more doors for the Houston football program than anything else.

13-1 ain't too shabby.

Wait...what? Keenum is entering the draft. He is out of eligibility, although I'd take his services for the next ten years but I don't think the NCAA will allow it.

Lying again?

Why don't you go ahead and link up to where I chalked up Oregon's loss to LSU as Oregon's players "not giving a shit," or "didn't get the game they thought they deserved"?

Whiney fucking idiot.

Yeah, dude -- that's exactly what I said... that Oregon's players just couldn't get up for the first game of the season, because they felt like they got snubbed by the BCS/Bowl Comittees.

You really need to remember the rule...

Brain, THEN keyboard.

Brain, THEN keyboard.

You reversed the order there.

Man, you LSU fans need to leave one of your remaining teeth/tooth under your pillows so the Logic Fairy rewards you when you wake up.

More like "whines."

Rumps, sorry I missed this thread. Keenum is a great QB, and Houston is a talented football team that really should have been in a BCS bowl. A dispirited PSU team led by a lame duck coaching staff got completely outclassed by your guys in the game. Here's hoping success continues to come your way.

I missed this answer.

Yet another lie.

Never said Baylor had a losing record, merely that they were a losing program.

I never mentioned "convictions."

LaMike got railroaded. Period. And he didn't "choke his girlfriend," as you claimed. He fought off someone who was attempting to break in to his pad with the intent to do another person harm... his ex GF.

Masoli got railroaded as well. His crime was being a dumbfuck. He was with someone he just met who stole a laptop.

Clear?
