Then quit giving us up to the minute updates on the next below average cast of underachieving recruits that have decided to fuck up their football careers by playing for your fucking school.Shit for brains...

Besides, half the time M2's golden recruits don't end up going to Cal. Dude is forever interpreting a pic of some thug grinning while holding a Cal coffee mug as, "psssst...he's a solid commit!"
Often as not it turns out that the guy was merely grinning while saying to someone off-camera, "Never in a million years...."

The ex players are revolting! Reminds me of the fracture in the UM community during the RRod hiring an three year debacle.

Every time I see that picture of the dominoes I'm reminded of the fact that the #'s on the dominoes are within the same range as the # of Cal football wins in a year.

I'm gonna go get the papers, get the papers, get the papers.
Re: Sources: Bill O'Brien to coach Penn St.
My messageboarding has been minimal of late...kids getting older, etc. Sorry I haven't had much to say during these heady times at PSU. That said...
I am very excited about the hiring of Coach BOB. I didn't know about the guy until the Brady sideline incident, but since last night when it became clear he was the man, I have been very impressed with what I have read, and his PC and subsequent interviews have impressed me a great deal. He is retaining Larry Johnson as DL coach, which I think is a great move. LJ is a great recruiter. I hope he is able to retain Ron Vanderlinden as LB coach as well, I have heard he is trying. I hope no other staff is retained.
I think that at long last, PSU will finally begin the process of building an offense. The defense has been statistically impressive, but I am also excited about a changed approach there as well. Bradley's approach is overly conservative, even seeming timid at times.
PSU also desperately needs a new strength and conditioning coach, and I think we'll FINALLY get one. The staff involved with the offensive line has been poor for a lomg time as well.
Simply stated...the Paterno crowd had stayed too long, and the program had really been deteriorating as a result. It was getting extremely frustrating to witness. let the New Era begin today - no looking back.

Everyone who posts in this forum is wrapped up in BTPCFB beyond what's probably healthy... but that's how we roll. Brings a sense of steadiness knowing there will be fools to replace us 100 years from now. The point being, we tend to get wrapped up in this silliness.
And being emotionally vested in PSU football (sup Where's Kendra) has to have been tough. So much tradition rendered near-meaningless (for the short-term) in a few days...absolutely brutal. Not a soul here who doesn't wish things went down differently.
But fuck it... best of luck in the future, Penn Sate. The fans didn't deserve this.
