Why? He covered up kids having their lives destroyed.War Wagon wrote:it's a damn shame this man had his reputation and legacy sullied by what went down there
You thought wrong. No big deal, you're not the first nor last.I always thought he was a class act

Heartbreaking? Should be ball breaking. That sack of shit deserves every type of cancer he gets.Jsc810 wrote:Not everyone can retire at the top like Jim Brown. I understand wanting to continue to coach, I don't fault him for that.
But I do fault him for his failure to act and protect those kids, that is heartbreaking.

One side of me says that Joe probably told the AD & President and they said "Don't say a word, or we'll fire you right now". The other side says he was too old and fucked up to understand it, and/or refused to believe it.
If it turns out he just kept his mouth shut to save his job to get the record over Eddie Robinson, then I agree with M2. I'd snatch every win he had since 1999 away from him.

too bad one side of your fat ass is so far away from the other that they failed to coordinate their thoughts. so on one hand he was forced into a corner and on the other he was too old to understand you can't touch little wee wees? southern inbred apologist. i'd roll my eyes but you people have stretched the definition of stupidity so far i'm no longer surprised. do like your attempt to mitigate joeped's stance on the matter with "oh okay, my job > sanctioned pedophilia."Papa Willie wrote: One side of me says that Joe probably told the AD & President and they said "Don't say a word, or we'll fire you right now". I think we all know that he had more power on that campus than the AD and President.Papa Willie wrote:One side of me says that Joe probably told the AD & President and they said "Don't say a word, or we'll fire you right now".
Ludicrous. Had they done so, JoePa simply says, "Go ahead and try it. Let's see how that works out for you once I take you to court."Papa Willie wrote:One side of me says that Joe probably told the AD & President and they said "Don't say a word, or we'll fire you right now".
Probably PSUFAN's place to respond to this but I'll bite . . .WolverineSteve wrote:Dude hung around way too long. He hasn't been a real HC for many years. Helluva run? Why because h wouldn't leave? Fuck JoPa.

There is absolutely nothing good he could have done during his entire tenure that would offset the damage he did to those kids. Nothing.Terry in Crapchester wrote:That doesn't mean that he did nothing good during his time at Penn State, though.

From the homer board (NOT my wytch):In a statement, Jay Paterno said he spoke with O’Brien and that the two “reached the conclusion”he would not be part of the new staff.

Bro, if you read that and got anything resembling support for JoPed or the actions of Sandusky, you're beyond challenged. You make Honey Badger look like Einstein. My advice is to re-read the post before thinking of fecal, homo, pedo-laced retorts. Think more, post less.Papa Willie wrote:People like you support kiddie diddling. Going to the the AD wasn't enough. Joe Pa had the power to stop that shit then and it didn't happen. I can't feel sorry for Joe Pa for his demise. I feel sorry for what happened to those kids and what continued to happen to those kids long after it should have stopped.
