I live in a 55+ community out in Hemet now, on the golf course as a matter of fact. Heck, I'm one of the young guns out here, but I wouldn't bet one of Derron's nickles against these old farts. We moved in on a one year lease to make sure this community was where we wanted to retire. After 3 months we are planning to purchase by the end of the year. These homes originally sold in the $350-$450k range. Since they started the first phase in 2004 and just finished the last homes in December of 2011, nearly all the 1129 homes (owners) are upside down. Yes, sweet deals are to be had here. 2074 sq.ft. on the golf course from the $180's. The community is built around the hemet golf course http://www.hemetgolfclub.com/ I'll be hitting the range soon to see if I can still swing a club after the surgery. Were not far from Fallbrook, so if I'm able to get back into playing shape you'll have to motor up the 215 and shoot a round on me.

Yeah, we'll definitely have to get together for some golf when you're ready. Hemet's an easy drive from here. I haven't hit the links since my hip surgery last year (except once for our Company's drunken 4 man best ball) and have been itching to do it. Most of my partners have moved on and there's just been too much inertia (and yard work) for me to get up and go on my own.
