Not likely..how many blacks do you see in there ? This area is by far one of the whitest areas in the U & L. Lots of white trash of course, but the minority quantity is thankfully low.

Cool vid of the combat fishing known as Oregon City in spring. They launch just inside the mouth of the Clackamas (the confluence is the end of the Oregon Trail), and head out into the Willamette with a few hundred of their closest friends.

Sea lions suck.

I'd make a suggestion, but you already know where about the biggest machine shop in the country is.

Like we'd notice one more mealy-mouthed New Englander running around here... and Boeing is way the fuck on the opposite corner of town from me (The Sandy becomes the river of choice for the far-northeast folks).

They're throwing something, not sure what. Looks like they try to whack it with the net, too, which is akin to pelting an elephant with a peashooter.

I don't fish the big rivers (Willamette, Columbia), so I generally don't deal with the problem much (although a few come up the Clack, they're spread out). But I know more than one person who has reported of the river vermins' trick of lurking under the boat once someone hooks a fish, then waiting until they net the fish, then they grab the whole net and try to take it down. My bud'd dad's friend is like 85, and just about went over the side at the hands of one of those bastards. A big old sea lion can go over 1000 pounds, so it's not a good matchup with a human. Some days and places, the fisherman are losing up to a third of the fish hooked to the fuckers.

They (fish and wildlife) kill a few up at the dam, but they need to let the Tribes whack a few in exchange for a lower salmon allotment.

Last year, they found at least one floating down the Columbia with a bullet in it -- fucked with the wrong redneck, I guess (and they caught the dude, who faced some serious charges, even though most anglers considered him a hero).

The sea lions have become a big freaking problem -- they kill all the fish... worse than the Injuns.

I hit the off button when you said McDonalds and open sores. Might have been a good video otherwise.

Yeah, because when I want a quality dining experience, I go to McDonald's. And when I don't get that, I complain to the manager. :meds:

Nice job, tough guy. You sure showed him.

While the rest of the Toddsmack was deece, that was an epic fail.

Make an all day outing on a boat on the ocean, then apologize.

I don't think Todd was reeling in marlin and swordfish, and I can think of many things more physically demanding than sitting on your ass for most of the day.

Or maybe I'm just not as broken down yet as you old fucks.

Fishing all day takes something out of you, espeially if it involves 50 beers.

Save it, Magoo -- weve seen your pic. This old (45 as of this weekend) will take you on in any cardio activity you choose (unless it involves my butt or something).

Any day, and twice on sunday.

Did you buy it from a guy on the street in Tijuana?

A friend of mine once got a really nice Onega watch there.

I am sure that same level of quality control was applied to the rest of the boat like the engine, and pump and that other minor shit too.

OK, I lied.

Hit the Big C for chinook last week... on a slow day. I'm sure I'll be there again this week. Big water, a buhzillion people, but it is kind of the #1 salmon stream in the world (by an order of magnitude). The big water has never been my favorite thing, but it's a few minutes up the road, and on a decent day, it's fishing in a barrel. There's great fishing right here in Portland, and if we go up as far as the airport, it's past most of the commercial traffic (big ships/barges kinda suck when you're anchored, aka "on the hook").

I'll do a PET or something eventually.

BTW -- not sure if it's been covered in this long thread, but remember...

"Boat" isn't a word -- it's an acronym.

wow, nothing gets past you.

Yes, we're refering to it as "ya mama" which is a slam on the mean streets of Hiroshima
Mind like a steel trap. 'ya' = 'yo' in Hiroshima? I don't think any of the black boaters are going to get that.
