How would they prove anything? I think the boys have said she wasn't anywhere around when it happened. But, come on, we all know she knew something was not right! She seems like a mean woman though.

Marital communications are typically privileged, so it isn't immediately clear that she had a legal duty to report the abuse. It would depend on state law.
