I've been catching up on this series while waiting for Breaking Bad to resume in July.
I'm about halfway through the second season and, yeah I know I'm about 7 years behind, but this is great stuff. Writing, characters, acting, set design, cinematography, everything about this series is amazing. Even the music clips that they play over the final credits are worth waiting for.
I have to be careful, though. After a weekend where I watch 4 or 5 hours of the stuff I have to be careful not to drop multiple "fucking cocksuckers" in the office.

i thought it was pretty great. shakespearian cussing and shit.
""On a lonely planet spinning its way toward damnation amid the fear and despair of a broken human race, who is left to fight for all that is good and pure and gets you smashed for under a fiver? Yes, it's the surprising adventures of me, Sir Digby Chicken-Caesar!"

Last episode left a lot to be desired. Bad guy wins but leaves town, life pretty much goes on as before, I guess. No big climax. It's like they were leaving it open for another season but decided to drop it.

That is...it met the same fate that almost all other shows meet.Mikey wrote:Last episode left a lot to be desired. Bad guy wins but leaves town, life pretty much goes on as before, I guess. No big climax. It's like they were leaving it open for another season but decided to drop it.

I'm still on season 2, but if you're talking about Al Swearengen that is pretty much happened. He ran the Gem Theater for 22 years and then sort of dropped off the map. He was found dead with his head stoved in near a streetcar line in Denver in 1904. It was never determined whether or not it was foul play or misadventure.Mikey wrote:Bad guy wins but leaves town, life pretty much goes on as before, I guess.

I'd respond, but it's better that you find out for yourself.mvscal wrote:I'm still on season 2, but if you're talking about Al Swearengen that is pretty much happened.
