2012 Offseason Thread
Free agency opens at noon tomorrow...Parise, Doan, Semin, Suter and Brodeur as the notable free agents. The Brodeur angle adds a little extra drama...he is actually going to test the market and not just work on a deal with the Devils.
At least Goobs' boy Schultz finally picked a team...

Two of the top free agents were Badgers. No surprise there.Shoalzie wrote:Free agency opens at noon tomorrow...Parise, Doan, Semin, Suter and Brodeur as the notable free agents. No wonder Schultz signed with Edmonton. He doesn't give a shit about winning.Goober McTuber wrote:

Story in the paper here yesterday said he got calls from Wayne Gretzky and Paul Coffey pointing out that there was a lot of young talent on the Oilers and that Edmonton is a great hockey city. Fall under a Zamboni, you fucking slack-jawed halfwit.Screw_Michigan wrote:No wonder Schultz signed with Edmonton. He doesn't give a shit about winning.Goober McTuber wrote:

Why?
13 years for a player is ridiculous.
13 years for 2 players @ $98M each is insane.

Agree about the length and $ of the contracts, but they got 2 very good players. They have some nice prospects out there, so they should now be a contender in the West.jiminphilly wrote:MuchoBulls wrote:Major props to Minnesota today.

I still stand by my comment in light of the Flyers offer to Weber.jiminphilly wrote:MuchoBulls wrote:Major props to Minnesota today.

Nash to the Rangers for Dubinsky, Anisimov and some other dude along with a 1st round pick........I like it but from what I read it's going to create salary issues for the Rangers.....not like they care but......
I also like what the Kings have done by signing many of their core from this past season.

I like the trade. No excuses for Nash now. He'll have a good center to create more opportunities and the Rangers should get more output from the offense now.
