Biggest boob VP of all time. Biden's Jurassic Ideas About How Jobs Are Created
Posted 07/06/2012 06:52 PM ET..Investors Business Daily...
Leadership: On a day when unemployment topped 8% for the 41st month in a row, it's worth noting Vice President Joe Biden told Ohioans Tuesday that "so-called job creators" don't build the economy. It explains a lot.
Campaigning in hotly contested Ohio, Biden told a National Education Association conference that big government spending strengthens the economy, not the private sector, the Washington Examiner reported. "We believe that the way to build this country is the way we always have, from the middle out .. .(to) invest in things that have always made our economy grow: innovation, research, development, infrastructure and education," the vice president said.
After that he launched a fusillade of class warfare rhetoric, painting Republican candidate Mitt Romney as a Monopoly-money plutocrat. Romney, he said, believes "somehow that those so-called job creators will make everything OK for the rest of us."
Combine that with President Obama's claim "the private sector is doing fine," and it's clear the White House is out of touch with the most basic facts about where jobs come from and why the economy isn't recovering.
In fact, "those so-called job-creators" are desperately needed to "make everything OK for the rest of us."
The private sector grew an anemic 84,000 jobs in June and averaged just 75,000 jobs in the second quarter, nowhere near enough to keep up with the population entering the workforce.
According to American Enterprise Institute researcher (and former IBD staffer) James Pethokoukis, it will take 219,000 net new jobs each month to bring the unemployment rate below 8% by Nov. 6's Election Day.
Biden thinks the solution is more government deficit spending on loopy centrally planned projects. In reality, the private sector, disciplined by a competitive marketplace, makes jobs possible, powers profits and fuels the economy.

Eighty percent of new jobs are created by the small businesses that Biden derides. And they just happen to be hit hardest by ObamaCare costs and a tax tsunami if the Bush-era rates are not renewed.
No wonder startups have slowed and business investment is weak. That will mean fewer jobs, something the biggest government spending binge in history can't fix.
Biden's crass, ignorant remarks about the private sector reveal a calcified jurassic attitude about what creates growth that can only go extinct if it can't change.

I love how these lawyer types get elected and appointed to public office and magically become economic, scientific, financial, technical, and medical experts. Sadly way too many of the boobs allowed to vote fall for all their bull shit. Lucky for me, when all this comes crashing down, I'll probably be ashes in a columbarium in Roselawn Cemetery in Maitland Ontario Canada.

Sorry Bri, although our neighbors to the north believe a lot of that leftist claptrap, the cemeteries are capitalist imperialist swine. It was MrsO's choice to be interred in her native land and it makes no difference to me where my remains end up. I purchased the spot a couple years ago during one of out yearly trips back there. You never know when your ticket is punched. At least I took care of some of what will happen after I go.

That was a good laugh. You guys are on your game tonight, but Marty needs to know what a columbarium looks like.

This is actually it at Roselawn.
Here's a close up. Bonus points for getting the Spinal Tap reference.

Money should be spent on the living. The money spent on getting planted somewhere is obscene.
I kinda like what Sam plans on doing at UT. I was thinking that maybe getting carved up by med school kids might be a good way to spend a few days/weeks after I punch out.

Exactly..Americans obsession with being buried in a box in a concrete vault is unreal. Preserving it for what ?smackaholic wrote:Money should be spent on the living. The money spent on getting planted somewhere is obscene.

It has made my ex bro in law a rich man. Owned 3 funeral homes for the last 25 years. He is still rich even after his old lady divorced his ass and took 1/2 of it.
I will be cremated and spread on my farm and dumped in the Nehalem River in my favorite fishing hole.
And my family will save huge jack that way and spend it on something worthwhile.

Re: Dan Quayle, quiver no more!
Reminds me of after my Mom died. She wanted her ashes to be dispersed in the Salmon River at her favorite fishing hole. The family converged on it waded out into the stream with hip boots and waders on. I read some passages for burial from the 1927 Episcopal Book of Common Prayer and proceeded to crack open the container holding my mother's remains. As I dumped to container into the water I realized it was not just a bunch as ashes. There were obvious pieces of bone especially vertebrae. ARGGGH. I vowed after that to not put any of my family through that. Well worth the money for the peace of mind.

Take that up with your mortician. There are these machines, that the ashes ( bone fragments) are ran through to make them into ..dust / ash's. Must have missed that step in the process..happens just after you take them out of the blast furnace.Wolfman wrote:Reminds me of after my Mom died. The funeral industry has went to almost 50% cremations. My ex bro in law, spent over 150K on setting up a cremation setup...needed to keep the money he had been sending elsewhere..now they come to him to fry the corpses. He still loves the Catholic funerals though..they think that you are going to need your old worn out body when you are risen from the dead in 10,000 or so years. Nice wood caskets, full bore services, family limos, coach's, flower cars, top of the line vaults, spare no expense. Only the gypsies bury their dead better..hundred dollar bills in between each finger, all kinds of bling, build these huge monuments over the graves to keep their kin from digging them up and stealing all their shit.
Fuckin huge racket.
