Breckenridge/Downtown Denver PET

Post by Go Coogs' »

Went to Breckenridge for a few days with Mrs. Rumps. Wanted to go on an ATV tour and do a rapids run down the Arkansas river, but scheduling and weather kept that from happening, so we pretty much went sight seeing, golfed, and zip lining. No pics of ziplining because the photographers came off the mountain as it started to hail. Nice little trip though.

Went an ate at a place called Johnny's Diner in Aurora. Nice atmosphere and good breakfast. We drove by the movie theater where all those people were killed/injured, but I decided against it to take a picture of the makeshift memorial. Just didn't feel right. Very sad when you're actually standing there.

This is the view from the back of our resort. We stayed at Main Street Station which is owned by Hyatt. Very nice place.

Mrs. Rumps and I went hiking for an afternoon up to McCullough Gulch and Blue Rivers Dam. Great sight seeing.

On the way back down the mountain towards the end of the day, Mrs. Rumps and I found this cool little waterfall off the side of the road. I blasted my man milk all up in her canyon on the rock with the arrow. Sure, it felt like being raped by a huge black bear, but when she flashed her tits at me while I was making my way down the trail, game was on fuckers.

Played golf the next day. Shot a 77 with five putts missed between 4 and 6 feet. My woods and irons were on fire, but just couldn't get the short stick going.

Check out the form and finish, bitches.

Saw a deer while waiting on a tee box.

Ate breakfast at the oldest bar in Breckenridge called the Gold Pan Bar. It's called a 'Panwich'. It was sooo good.

Had some damn good crepes after a night on the town.

Spent an hour in downtown Denver before we had to return the car. 16th Street is pretty cool. Also saw the street where America's Race will begin.

You just know Mgo is barfing at the golf pic.

You also know Marty is noting the conspicuous absence of Rumplewife from any of these pics, even though a couple of them specifically have to do with Fat People Food.

Done the Arkansas River run down by Buena Vista before, but wanted to tackle the Royal Gorge like your family did this time around, but couldn't fit it in the schedule because of all the rain. We went to a happy hour in Frisco at the Back Country Brewery instead. I drank about 7 pints of their IPA. Good shit. They served it slightly warmer than most places and it really brought out the hops. Very good food, too. Had their wings and a burger. Very tasty.

Yeah, but he made up for it with the fried potatoes. That's how I cook them at home, and they are awesome. Most breakfast restaurants "up here" want to serve you hash browns. I fucking hate hash browns.

The only places in California that tend to serve hash browns instead of home fries are places like Denny's. Any decent diner offers the real thing.
