In the 314 this weekend for the STL/SD game...

Any specific place I might want to go to to grab a brew and some grub before the game near the stadium? I went to a couple Cards games last year, but had kids with me both times. No kiddies Saturday.

most crowded and loud (thus fun) place most likely will be Paddy O's just to the southwest of the stadium. its on 7th or 8th (can't remember).

let me know where you're staying and I can throw some more suggestions out.

sweet. Casino queen is next to the metrolink so you can take it to the game and back. from the metrolink stop, and head south for three blocks. mmediately after you walk beneath the highway there is a bar on your left (east). If you're in a high-fallutin' group with nice clothing on, there's the Westin hotel bar to the west of the stadium and Mike Shannon's to the north two blocks on Market.

Thanks. Before the game, it'll be just me and my brother-in-law so we'll be looking to get a little sloshed before the game. After the game, we have my preggo wife and y sister-in-law to help sober us up as we go to some "high fallutin" place for dinner.

You should see the pissed off e-mails I have gotten from the wife today when I said I was wearing my A&M baseball jersey to the game because she wants to go somewhere nice afterwards for dinner.

By the way, is the Metrolink a bus? Subway? Never spent much time in STL before. Just parked in the garages by the stadium and then left after the game.

few things are more glorious than amateur night. I remember amateur night at the strip club in Columbia (Mizzou). Tons of girls in there on a dare and bitches wondering how they will make their next student loan payment. BEST. SHIT. EVER.

I, too, keep the real life separate from the internet life. I've only met one person on here and that was a LONG time ago. Will probably stay that way.

Thanks for the tips. We'll definitely hit Paddy O's if only for a beer or two. We are leaving Sounthern Indiana at 7:00 AM on Satruday (3 hour trip) and going straight to the hotel. We'll have about 2 hours or so before the game to hit Paddy O's so not a lot of time. We're heading back to Indiana after breakfast the next morning. Not a long trip. My brother and sister-in-law have a baby they need to get back to.
