He decided he didn't like being guarded so he elbowed the defender in the face knocking him to the floor.

Dumb move. Whats with the Celtics "stars" ? First Walker goes after O Neal, now Pierce throws an elbow like a punk. Are they trying to lose? Stupid moves by both.

I've got a feeling after being knocked out in the first round by the Pacers the last two years, that the Celtics are about to do anything and everything to get past them. And after the Detroit brawl, the Celitics probably think they can get into the Pacers heads by trying to start fights with them.

But the real issue is if the Pacers shoot better than 30% from the floor, they win. If they don't, like last night's horrible shooting exhibition, they lose.

But, in the big picture, neither one of these teams is going to win the East anyway.

Rushville, The Celtics were up by 2 with 12 seconds left. Paul Pierce was just fouled. If he kept his cool and scored 2 free throws, the game would have been over. He hit Tinsley, which was his 2nd Technical. He was tossed from the game and Indiana got 2 free throws and nearly won the game..

The only reason to have any interest whatsoever in this abortion of a series is the prospect of a Pistons/Pacers second round.

Isit parity in the east or does everyone except the Heat and pistons just plaing suck?

I'm leaning toward option two.

Go Pacers.

Exactly.

Jack,

I was at the game so I am fully aware of the circumstances surrounding Pierce getting his bitch ass tossed. What I was trying to explain is why guys like Pierce, Walker and Ricky Davis are suddenly acting like the Pistons. They're tired of getting knocked out by the same team in consecutive years, this would cause quicker tempers to surface, like that displayed by Pierce in a situation where, as you say, if he keeps his cool game is over. It also exlains why Walker is slamming O'Neal's shoulder every time he goes up.
