Why isn't "The Game" the last week of the year anymore?
I knew they moved it up from here on out, but still, this is disappointing for such a storied rivalry. The most meaningful rivalries are always the last game of the season.

Army/Navy for starters. Maybe not relevant in the rankings anymore, but still a storied rivalry.
Civil War is final weekend.
ND/Southern Cal when it is at the Coliseum.
Florida/Florida State
Apple Cup
Mich/Ohio St
Texas/Texas A&M used to be the final weekend.
SC/UCLA used to be the last weekend when it was at the Rose Bowl.
Kansas/Mizzou used to be last weekend.
Et fucking al.

Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me about your school's little rivalry. How could I miss that?M Club wrote:Because the Big 10 has 12 teams now, you crack-smoking, autistic fuck.

Re: Why isn't "The Game" the last week of the year anymore?
army/navy is played a week after all the real thanksgiving day rivalries. isn't it?
honestly, i think army/navy is way overrated and a bunch of wanking from BTPFC perspective. i live in Colorado and Air Force is winning that CnC Trophy most of the time anyway.
(literally) war the armed forces....but it's not BTPCF bradstyle.
this feels like big tenner trolling so i'll step out.

maybe.Screw_Michigan wrote:Holy shit, you have serious issues with Big Tenners living in your dome rent free.King Crimson wrote: this feels like big tenner trolling so i'll step out.
but there is valuable antecedent in BIg Tenners and the current SEC....minus the actual winning NC's part. the conf is so good because all the teams knock each other off....or maybe because all the teams are mediocre?
homer city. all for all. 20 years of knowing Michigan fan and Iowa fan....Indiana basketball fan....there is NOTHING tougher than a Big Ten game. sounds kinda like SEC fan today, minus the big prizes.
just trying to document the things as they happen.

What about your schools' rivalries? You picked up nine new favorites since your last move, non?Screw_Michigan wrote:Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me about your school's little rivalry. How could I miss that?M Club wrote:Because the Big 10 has 12 teams now, you crack-smoking, autistic fuck.

How did you develop such an inferiority complex over the years?
Re: Why isn't "The Game" the last week of the year anymore?
Ja, dumbfuck, because Iowa fans wake up Saturday morning and just can't wait to watch...the Washington football game. You need to switch your glue brands up.King Crimson wrote:maybe.Screw_Michigan wrote:Holy shit, you have serious issues with Big Tenners living in your dome rent free.King Crimson wrote: this feels like big tenner trolling so i'll step out.

so you are speaking for Iowa fan and calling me "dumbfuck".M Club wrote: Ja, dumbfuck, because Iowa fans wake up Saturday morning and just can't wait to watch...the Washington football game. You need to switch your glue brands up.
hooray, you.
maybe you have always been Noj?
if you are drunk it's OK, but the immediate "dumbfuck" namecalling is a little disappointing from you Club. i used to think you were someone on this board who had actually read a book and had a thought in their head.
BIg 12 fans take a lot of shit, you BIg However guys piss like women when challenged. jesus.

Challenged? You're just some douchebag on a meth comedown whining that Big Ten fans care about Big Ten football. Boo fucking you.
Re: Why isn't "The Game" the last week of the year anymore?
Just a reminder that theJON is an alum of the Big 12, Iowa State, and was only posing as an Iowa fan. Now, if you'll excuse me, I gotta get back to the Nebraska-Northwestern game and pre-game party before watching Iowa-Penn State tonight. I'm ashamed to say that I broke away from the Big Tenner mentality this morning and watched the Iowa State-OSU game at the risk of being kicked out of the club.
Sincerely,
Mace, Dumbfuck Iowa fan

Did Jim Delaney fuck your girlfriend or something? Nobody says any of those things but you spend lots of time talking about it.King Crimson wrote:homer city. all for all. 20 years of knowing Michigan fan and Iowa fan....Indiana basketball fan....there is NOTHING tougher than a Big Ten game. sounds kinda like SEC fan today, minus the big prizes.

Ah, I get it now: Screw meant The Big Game, not The Game. Can't really blame him for the mistake since he hasn't moved to the West Coast yet so hasn't had time to adopt seven new teams from out that way and become familiar with their traditions.

Not this year, although it was scheduled as such. Nicholls with their silly little hurricane fucked that up.
At least they didn't get bought up by ESPN again, and are actually playing the Civil War on Rivalry Day, unlike the thursday night fiasco.
And it may well be the biggest of the rivalry games this year.
