Been fortunate enough that work takes me to some far reaches of the globe. Some of these pics are of those far reaches, others, much closer to home.

During the summer olympics, Google’s splashpage had daily, olympic-themed images. Thought this particular one to be a bit ‘suspect’. A nog hurdling down a track of watermelon.


A side street in Amsterdam getting prepped for Queen’s Day, one big nationwide party. I was fortunate enough to have to be in Amsterdam each year over Queens day and it did not disappoint. Also had the fortune of being there during the World Cup four years ago. While I’m not a soccer fan, it was still a blast on the evenings that the Netherlands played.

Me, on one of my favorite golf courses in the whole wide world, Monarch Dunes in Nipomo, CA. Course is a bitch and as close to a true links style course as you’ll find in the west.


The ‘Ship Tavern’, a pub some-effing-where in London. Had a weekend to myself and on this day was just taking the underground to explore the city. ‘Round lunchtime or so, stopped in here and that’s where the self-guided-tour ended. Funny what a few pints and great people to BS with will do to ya’. Last thing I remember was a group of male and female brits standing up in the booth, surrounding me and singing our national anthem to me with their pints above their heads.

Me talking a dutch tourist into eating a fried grasshopper with me from a street stall in Thailand. While I was being talked into eating it by a co-worker of mine, saw her to the side watching and laughing. Took about 2 seconds for me to call her out on it.

Approach shot on #18 at my absolute favorite golf course, La Purisima Golf Course in Lompoc, CA. Bitch of a hole in which the Eucalyptus pretty much forces you to cut one in to the pin. Btw, Lompoc is where that the shark went up 1-0 on humans yesterday. Been to Surf Beach many times.


Lastly, one of my favorite bars, the Elbo Room in Ft. Lauderdale. Took this sitting at the bar overlooking the A1A and the beach.

nice course, the video tour and scorecard make it look like the kind of course where almost every other hole has the potential to put up a huge number....
