What was so impressive about Mississippi State? They hadn't played a single team with a pulse up until yesterday, and then got predictably fist-fucked.

The SCEBSHomerism is strong in this thread.

Of course not. It was you overrating Auburn at #483 that was really over the top.Papa Willie wrote:So Terry & Mucho are SECBSH's now?Mikey wrote:The SCEBSHomerism is strong in this thread.

You'll have to forgive me as I'm not planning my Saturdays around Miss St/Jackson St tilts. The first I really saw of them was on Saturday, and it went as expected. So, this is your time to shine, tubbo, and educate me on how fucking awesome they looked in that epic four point win over Troy, or maybe how they ALMOST managed to beat Kentucky by a couple of touchdowns and all those other awe-inspiring performances against...who, again? Break it down for me.Papa Willie wrote:How many times have you seen them play this year? I'll venture to say "0", but I'll let you answer.
What's that? You've got to hide behind your little linky? You've got a brain rattling around up there somewhere, yes? Use it. Point out for me all these impressive wins they have. Take your time.

They're so good they're getting 7.5 points...AT HOME. Against ATM. Sweet jesus.
Fuck it, I'll take the Bulldogs to cover. Better not let me down.

Fwiw, I think ND will fall in the BCS rankings this week, even with a win, for two reasons:
1. Their lead over Oregon is razor-thin (.0011 points at present).
2. The computers will adjust for Oregon playing USC, and ND playing Pitt.
Of course, if Oregon loses, they won't fall. But I don't see that happening.

Haven't watched much CFB this year, eh?
Sure, we can apply "Alabama and Oregon haven't played anyone, yadayadayada..." And ND and KSU have gone unbeaten against a little better quality opponent than Bama or Oregon. But to anyone who's watched all the top teams play... puh-leez.
Bag on those teams' opposition all you like, but both Bama and Oregon have completely destroyed everyone who has taken the field against them. Just absolutely kicked the living crap out of them. Oregon's starters have rarely been on the field when the clock ticks down to halftime (awfully nice to be getting the newbies lots of snaps this year -- bodes quite well for continuity for next year). Bama is in about the same boat... just making opposition look like Pop Warner teams.
How anyone who has watched games could think that those two teams aren't clearly the best needs a new pair of glasses.

I wouldn't say "Louisville" (my new bandwagon) is 8-0.
Teddy Bridgewater is 8-0... despite the complete crap that makes up the rest of the team.
I think against a top 5-10 team, their medicre-on-a-good-day defense would get thrashed. But Teddy is the real deal, and his monster gonads has been willing that team to wins they probably wouldn't have with a mere mortal at QB.
But gotta give some love to any team that can go 8-0 with exactly one player worth a shit.

Sam -- maybe our respective teams should get through saturday before we get too far ahead of ourselves.
Thought I heard that USC is a homedog for the first time since the 90's, or some shit like that.
