One day he followed us to three different holes. Must have been a slow week day, because he never "contacted" us that day, but usually marched right down most other days. He was not very good at hiding, sounded like a herd of elk coming down the bank, and the reflection off his binos gave him away pretty much all the time.

After checking my license and tags about 15 times in one season, you think he might have figured out I pretty much played by the rules (most of the time). He checked us one time and told my buddy, you look kind of fucked up. ( He was). Buddy (former Hells Angel) shrugged his shoulders and said, well I try to be when I go fishing. Cop stammered a bit, but had no reason to jack us up for anything even with the beers in our vest pockets.

My obnoxious buddy finally got over on that fat fuck. Since he pretty much stalked us the moment we entered Tillamook County and knew our vehicles well, it was a nonstop hassle. Then my buddy ame up with "You must know all there is to know about this fish stuff..." (dude who told us chinook never run upstream... ever... dumbass), then he'd hit him with a barrage of questions about fish runs, timing, and everything else under the sun, usually stupid shit. When Big John (pretty sure he was John) would eventually try to leave, he'd chase him to the car, still asking inane questions. When he'd start to drive off, he'd flag him down and ask more supid questions.

The stalking stopped after that.

The young guys they have patrolling those parts these days seem to be cool as hell.
