I think Stanford has a new QB

Post by Mikey »

Nunes started today's game. Two drives, two punts.

Hogan came in. On the next 6 drives, 5 TDs one FG.

Nottingham and Picazo finished out the game.

Sure, this was against Colorado but they could barely score against Wazzoo last week with Nunes. Hogan just looks a lot more confident, makes good throws and runs the option with some authority. He's only a soph, but his style is very much like Luck's was.

The defense gave up negative rushing yards for the second week in a row. Only 76 total yards (97 passing). That should all change in a couple of weeks.

I'm sure they're dead similar... what with all the "option" they ran with Luck.

They almost never ran any options with Luck. The option they ran a few times with Hogan was a pass/run option where he would roll out and had the option if keeping the ball or dinking it over the cornerback to the WR if he came up to stop the run. It worked well a few times.

He looked like Luck in his ability to escape pressure and run the ball (he had one 27 yard scramble where he broke a couple of tackles and didn't go out of bounds when he was supposed to) and his ability to throw on the run. His size is comparable to Luck too.

you admit it, but i could beat CU behind center. this is a team that lost to Sacramento State at Folsom Field. i could not even after a 35+ years of following BTPCF couldn't name the Sac State team name.....mascot....can you?

i would take the caution path. CU might be the worst team in the BCS. outside that win at Wazzou (hey, Pac is better than the Big XII peeps!).....everyone dumps 50 on Colorado.
