Anybody who can pull that off deserves a rematch in the MNC.

Against themselves.

Stanford could never had won against Washington. Too much SEC bias. Couldn't happen.

Then why were they one last-play FG away from winning one? That shitty defense of theirs contained Auburn's offense much better than yours did.

Sam -- this was the point at which you should have tucked your tail and ran. You should have enough pride to limit your stupid-per-thread ratio.

But since that's not enough, let's go for more... you keep citing this head-to-head stuff...

you know the PAC owns the SEC in the BCS era, right?

So does the Big East, for that matter.

All I know is Georgia only played two ranked teams in the regular season (how that happens in the mighty SEC, I don't know) and got ass-blasted by one of them. The fact they're even in a position to play for the MNC at this point is rifuckulous.

And I do think margin of victory should play a role. No matter what people want to say, there IS a difference between losing by 30 and losing by a FG in overtime.

When they have to play 2, maybe 3 good teams... in a row?

Now you're just being silly.

We'll see what happens when you get at least a taste of playing by the same rules as everyone else.

Dins, sorry your team lost and can't play for the NC. The SEC had nothing to do with that. Blame Oregon and quit crying about another conference that had nothing to do with it.

Huh?

Why is a 1 loss SEC team automatically more qualified than a 1 loss team from any other conference?

Sorry you're unable to follow the discussion.

And since you can't, I'll try and help -- I just asked you a direct question.

You mean like South Carolina playing Georgia, LSU, and Florida over a 3 week period?
And they lost two of those three games. That's kind of the point.

They wouldn't have had they played an easier, non-meatgrinder slate. Say, Tennessee, Kentucky and Auburn.

I can’t figure out what USC you mean because you couldn’t get your greasy dick beaters off of your fried chicken long enough to get the number of top 10 teams played correct for Southern Cal or South Carolina. Each has 3. I’ll assume you meant South Carolina.

Here are their first 5 games, when you were proclaiming them as one of the top 5 teams in the country:

@Vandy
East Carolina
UAB
Missouri
@Kentucky

Can you find a five game stretch for Notre Dame that easy? I’ll take it a step further:

Notre Dame: 9 bowl eligible teams out of 12
South Carolina: 6 bowl eligible teams out of 12

Further, South Carolina played 4 SEC teams with a combined 5 conference wins.

All this = Meatgrinder.

Yes, because I've been the one predicting a team to get run off the field.

And of course you meant Southern Cal. Because we had been discussing their schedule. :meds: Or were you just "pointing things out" to the Southern Cal fan responding in this thread?

Here we go. Laying the ground work for your inevitable “nipping at my balls” post after someone calls you on your bullshit?

Of course not they shouldn’t, but nice straw man. At no time did anyone say that they should. But the SOS isn’t just about 2 or 3 games, is it? It’s about the whole schedule. It’s not SO3GameStretch. Outside of a 3 game stretch in the middle, and one game at the end, South Carolina’s schedule was fucking awful. 5 teams below .500 and a 1AA team.

Again, can you find a 5 game stretch on ND’s schedule as weak as South Carolina’s? Take your time.

Yep, I have. And South Carolina's SOS ranks higher than ND's on exactly zero of them. Again, merely presenting facts.

The SEC has no bearing on my life. As an outside observer, I can discuss the self perpetuating myth with some sort of objectivitiy. I honestly don't give a shit how a conference does. Because if my team isn't doing well, I really don't give a fuck how other teams do. I feel no sense of pride if a team that is in the same geographic area does really well.
