Within the past few years, a number of my death pool mainstays have kicked the bucket: George Steinbrenner, Kim Jong-Il, Amy Winehouse, and now Larry Hagman.

What else do they all have in common? Each happened to die in the one year I didn't pick them.

Looks like I'm the anti-BSmack: a celebrity prolly wants me to take them in the death pool. It keeps them safe, at least for another year, when they might be in the Grim Reaper's crosshairs otherwise.
