At least we know the coaches aren't going anywhere....or the underclassmen.....

Once Briles turned the RB position over to Seastrunk, they have been damn near unstoppable.

Re: Big12 > Pac12
Not a good night for the PAC. A division champ gets run by a sub .500 conf record team. Why the hell wasn't UCLA running straight ahead against BU?
Also, horrible call by the Field Judge who instead of straddling the goal line decided to move three yards deep into the end zone and was out of position to make the call.

Lefty, did you see the Duke/Cincinnati game? If so, how was that long punt not a touchback? It looked like both players were in the endzone when they downed the punt at the 3.

Sam is correct.
Different rules between HS football (not including Texas and Massachusetts which play by NCAA rules) College football and the NFL.
In the NFL a scrimmage kick isn't a touchback until it hits the ground or an official or kicking team player in the end zone. A player who last touched the end zone is also considered to be in the end zone until he re-establishes himself in the field of play. So in other words as long as the ball or player isn't touching the end zone the kick will be downed where first touched or possessed as per the rules.
In the NCAA, a scrimmage kick untouched that breaks the plane of the goal line is a touchback. A member of the kicking team can leap from the one yard line, cross the goal line, and then toss the ball back to a teammate standing at the two and it will still be a touchback. On the flipside the kicking team player can stand with his feet on the goal line and catch the punt and as long as the ball didn't break the plane it will be spotted inside the one yard line.

Re: Big12 > Pac12
even though i pull against them (screw conference loyalties...that's for SEC BSH).....it's always fun to have UT win their meaningless Christmas bowl game when i am in the airport bar. let UT fan get some sleazey love after OU put 60 on them in October. i love to see UT fan act like it really matters to keep winning the Weedeater bowl.Papa Willie wrote:it'

And rack the horns for getting over on the Beavers last night. That was some good shit, too...
Stoopses D is always bad against run-pass QB so i think Johnny Football has his way with OU and Landry.....so, i take it where i can.

Re: Big12 > Pac12
The PAC12 has certainly sucked balls major bowl games so far.
Hopefully SC, with all the star power they'll be bringing, will be up to the challenge of the 6-7 ACC steamroller they're up against today.

Re: Big12 > Pac12
No shit. This team is an absolute embarrassment when you consider the pre-season hype. It brings down not just SC but the rest of the conference as well.Papa Willie wrote:Okay - this is absolutely absurd. Half way through the 2nd and GT is up? Kiffin is a shit coach. Maybe they're distracted by the transcendent beauty of the setting there in El Paso.

Nice to see Lane Kiffen dressed like the frigid vagina that he is. I bet he drinks vinegar and water neat.

More of a reference to MeShawn and the double parka he wore at ND in October of 1995. But everything Kitten does gives off douche chills. 45 degrees and cloudy, but you're wearing a hooded jacket, gloves and sunglasses? Douche.Mikey wrote:Plenty to criticize about SC, especially today but...Kiffin's wardrobe?Killian wrote:Nice to see Lane Kiffen dressed like the frigid vagina that he is.
