I am just an older person who has some physical limitations as to what I can do to defend my self in a safe manner.I cannot take or give an ass kicking anymore. I rely on situational awareness, attitude and evasion to avoid trouble. I am trained in tactical defense. I simply carry a weapon to make me the equal too or a greater response to any potential threat out there. 15,000 people in my county have the same idea.
