That's going to make for some tough viewing if you don't have a massive screen.

Indyfrisco is going to have to upgrade 34 of his TV's if this happens

You would have more space and perhaps a safer game. I say that based on my CFL experience. There are less collisions of that type in the Canadian game.”
I'm not so sure about that. You may have fewer violent collisions in Canada because the players aren't as big or as fast.

On a more wide-open field you might have fewer collisions (not less  ) but some might be even more violent due to having more space to accelerate up to top speed.

So they "discussed" the idea a year ago...

probably not enough room at a typical NFL stadium to allow it. The sidelines are packed enough with assorted and sundry folk as is. Not to mention, the networks who pay the bills would never go for it. They have a hard enough time covering the action with 17 camera angles now.

Plus it would make it a lot harder to shuffle players on and off the field. Some OL players might not make it to the sideline without stopping to catch their breath.

Why not? The only thing the league cares about is money, & as far as they're concerned more scoring = more money. Every year the league makes changes & every year I become a little less interested.

Not if you play for Chip Kelly.
