RIP...George Duke

Post by Mikey »

One of the great jazz innovators and keyboard players of the past 50 years, and one of the first jazz artists that I started following in the 70s.

His work with Zappa on a dozen or so albums was groundbreaking.

Frank Zappa?

I remember meeting his daughter. I never asked her about her weird name but she was cool.

edit: I blame Mikey for killing this board also.

Most def. You know what would really get this board humming again? More alcoholic trannies posting drunken, incoherent ramblings at 4 am. And panty pics.

I was actually going to to join in the best bets activity here at good ole T1B...The guy that runs that contest is a fucking prick

You are truly one of the worst pieces of shit to ever post on this board. Start giving up your paycheck for reparations now and then you can shut the fuck up about your racist blasts.

I wish I could post some original web-generated stick figure cartoons to liven things up but I just don't have that kind of talent.

(would have added some youtube videos but that kind of shit is blocked here)

Prolly just a pre-emptive move on youtube's part to keep you from killing it, too.

I came close once from home. That's why I never log on from there anymore. Youtube would be a much bigger loss to the interwebs than T1B.

To the interwebs as a whole, maybe, but you seem to forget the fact that it's all about...ME!

I'm torn on this issue. On the one hand, youtube is my primary source for obtaining the tunage you regularly enjoy in chat. (Yeah, I know there are plenty of other sources, but I'd rather not use them. And enjoy may be presumptive.) On the other hand, without T1B, I'd have to find another outlet from which to broadcast the Friday night epicosity, and being the lazy-ass that I am, I don't want to have to do that.

I'd have to call it a wash.

I keep pressing the folks at Rogue Amoeba to make the changes to Nicecast that would allow us to broadcast via multiple servers at the same time. Would be most cool if we could. So far, not so good.
