Ray Finkle plays hard for Gary Pinkle

Post by campinfool »

Laces out! Poor Mizzou was just starting to believe in itself until they let a 17 point lead fall apart at home. Good run to start the season but is Pinkled interchangeable with getting Clemsoned?

No, we're just cursed. Or as I wrote in another thread, "as we like to say around here, 'they just can't do anything easy.'" And yes, Mizzou is still its father's Missouri.

Apparently the lights were too bright, and the stage was too big. Poor placements aside, which caused Bagget to duck-hook one attempt and draw iron on a second and ultimately cost the Tigers four points and the game, there is plenty of blame to go around in this one.

DGB: Hey, it's neat that you're all-world-n-junk, but would you mind actually making a catch sometime? Two drops - one on a third-and-long that would've extended a drive; and another you yakked up in the end zone would've gone a long way towards punching Mizzou's ticket to Atlanta.

OC Josh Henson: What kind of fucked up call was that on 3rd and 2 with less than 5 minutes to go late in the game? Yeah, I get we were trying to chew clock, and the series had a promising start - Josey goes for 5 on a blast up the gut, and Mauk for 3 on a draw. Here's a thought: Mizzou was hammering the Chickens between the tackles. That cute little sweep you tried to run to the short side cost the Tigers that possession, and probably the game. Props to the Superiors for making a play when they had to.

Oh, and just for future reference, Josh: Those 20 yard hooks and outs downfield sure look pretty when completed, but maybe you might want to take some heat off your young quarterback with a little something they call a screen. You know, since Cacalackey pretty much had its ears pinned back and was chasing your QB on most every play in the 4th quarter. You needed to look no further than the opposite sideline to see how it's done. Might want to look into it.

Finally, Willie: I know you asked in other threads why Mizzou didn't take shots with 40 seconds to go. I honestly believe Carolina's pass rush got into Mauk's head that fourth quarter, and Pinkel wasn't willing to risk the ball. Live to fight another day and take your chances in OT. But I'm with you: Cackalackey definitely had "mo" on its side by the end of regulation.

Play calling reflected that the Tiger's spent the last half trying not to lose the game instead of winning it. Reckon we'll see just how badly Mizzou wants to play Alabama in the coming weeks. I expect a better showing from the Vols than what we saw yesterday, and the Grovers out of Oxford are likely to have a say in Mizzou's season before it all plays out.

You are truly one of the worst pieces of shit to ever post on this board. Start giving up your paycheck for reparations now and then you can shut the fuck up about your racist blasts.

I went to bed last night and had some drunken, horrible nightmare that they had lost in 2 OT's after yakking up a 17 point 4th qtr. lead.

Woke up this morning, looked at my paper, and it was all true!

Very depressing, I just hope it doesn't carry over to the Chiefs today.
