Heisman Watch
Just got interesting.

Certainly not a conviction, but that'll lose some votes.

We know this wouldn't happen with Manti Te'o.

Re: Heisman Watch
Question: When will Manti jokes get old?
I'm guessing 2025.

Mariota's chance at the Heisman: he's not Winston or Manzeil.
Maybe character should count for something.

Dude, the report was filed a year ago. Nothing will come of this.Papa Willie wrote:I was hoping Winston would turn out okay. God damn - they always find a way to fuck up. That's enough to make me take SYR on game #4. 39.5 is a big fucking spread when you're worried about your QB going to jail.

At best he splits that vote with AJ.

If it did, he'd get MY vote.

The frontrunners are a rapist, a cheater, and Ghandi.
Seems easy to me, but I'm a homer.

Re: Heisman Watch
Mariota doesn't even belong in the conversation. He shit the bed against the only good defense he has faced. And don't give me the "he was hurt" excuse. He's a great person? Fine, put him up for a humanitarian award.
Why shouldn't Bryce Petty be in consideration? Is it just because he doesn't have the ESPN hype machine behind him? It's funny how so many people crack on ESPN, yet allow it do their thinking for them. The four letter network has a very powerful subconscious effect on people.
The guy is the country's top rated passer on an undefeated team vying for an MNC berth, and just came off a great performance against a top 10 defense. He has a TD to INT ratio of 21 to 1. That's disgusting. He is completing a nation's-best 13.2 yards per attempt, so he's not just dinking and dunking. He belongs in the top 3, at least at this point.
