Now for my real thoughts...

Michigan will not be able to stop the OSU rushing attack...Look for Hyde early and often. OSU will pound Michigan between the tackles then open up with various jets, outside zone read, etc with Braxton/dontre Wilson...OSU will go to the outside as Michigan will stuff 8 or 9 in the box to contend with Hyde/Miller. I look for Devin Smith and Philly Brown to have HUGE days.

On defense Pickinard will be under constant pressure. Shazier is playing himself into the 1st round and Roby since he announced he is gone is actually playing like OSU needs him to. The front 4 (and subs) will deliver constant pressure and hit Pickinard early and often. I see this one getting out of control early...

Michigan's rush d is actually pretty respectable. About the only thing they do well. But OSU will wear them down as the game goes on, and Hyde will probably break his biggest runs in the 4th.

I'd love to see them let it all hang out since there's not much left to lose at this point. They've already been humbled by Sparty. I expect a rout and I'll be shocked if I don't see a rout. Urban needs to win out and I'd imagine he'd prefer to bomb out both Michigan and Sparty to leapfrog FSU or whomever to get in the last MNC game. Playing Sparty is going to be a bitch...might have to put triple digits on Hoke and the boys.

I kinda wondered if they did it just to get Urban to burn his last timeout with 30 seconds left and then they'd kick but I give Hoke some props for giving it a try. This was another humbling in the trenches...this time against the defensive front and how outmatched they were against Miller and Hyde on the ground. Overall, I'm satisfied with the showing...the win was there if they converted on one more play. You were facing OT without your kicker and you can't stop their run and they get already on the 25 each time. Converting that two was their best chance to win.

It was totally the right call. I told my buddy after OSU went up 42-35 that when Michigan scores next, they should go for two and give our defense a nice big shitburger to eat. I'm surprised the UM coaches didn't roll Gardner out of the pocket or use one of those misdirection screens to the RB/TE that worked flawlessly all game long.

Nonetheless, was a great game and any Buckeye fan should be relieved they escaped with a W. Not sure when we're gonna stop playing Oregon-type ball, but the sooner the better.
