What happens if 5 QB's this season have that kind of game against an anemic Pitt D?Papa Willie wrote:it be?
Glad I watched the last game. I'd go with Jameis Winston of FSU.
25 of 27 for 356 yards, 4 TD's.![]()
Not bad for a Freshman.
If you had to pick a Heisman winner after Week 1 - who would

Speak to Burnt Hamburger. He has at least four candidates every week.Papa Willie wrote:it be?

My current ballot:
1. Paul Richardson
2. Connor Wood
3. Cal's backup QB

For one game? Tajh Boyd. 312 All Purpose yards, 5 total TD’s against a top 5 team is really the only answer. Unless you’re prone to the “Ooooh, shiny things!” philosophy, then it is obviously Winston.

Way to early for this, much like polls before Oct.
This much I will say, Jameis had the best debut by a Freshman this past weekend. Had replay looked at his first half incompletion they would have overturned the ruling on the field and dude would have been perfect for the first half.

De'Anthony Thomas had 2 TDs and 100+ yards rushing... before the end of the 1st Quarter...
against a 1AA.
Make of it what you will.
Steady Teddy has been money since the first time he stepped on the field.
Seer's boy Hundly doesn't suck.
Lots of guys let it shine over Saturday. Do it for 11 more games and I'll have a favorite.

Of course he would, but you're a fucking idiot. Especially if you think playing at Pitt is more difficult than playing Georgia, anywhere right now.
And USC is a poor example. They have Lane Kiffen as their coach. Georgia doesn't.

Don't get this Haden Domer thing. Coulda swore he was the one throwing passes to JK McKay in south central a while back.

Impressive.(Stanford Coach David) Shaw on Jameis Winston: One of the major stories in the first week of the college football season was the remarkably successful debut of Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston. The former five-star recruit completed 25 of 27 passes for 356 yards and four touchdowns in the Seminoles' season-opening victory over Pitt.
Stanford heavily recruited Winston and hosted the Alabama native on an official visit. He even applied and was admitted to Stanford. Winston ultimately decided to play his college football closer to home, but the dual-sport star left a positive impression on Shaw.
"When he came on a visit here we all fell in love with him," Shaw said. "He's a great kid. He's smart. He knows football. He's got an unbelievable personality and whatever 'it' factor quarterbacks have, he's got it. He's also very self-aware. He knows what he does right and he knows what he doesn't do right.
"He's also blatantly honest and open. You ask him a question and you're going to get an answer. He's a wonderful kid. I got to know his dad through the process. (He has a) great family. I said it at the time - I know he's going to be successful in and out of football. He's just one of those guys."
