pop -- a word, please
tart, here me out, bro.
I believe you were sent here, to this message board, for a greater purpose. That purpose is to spread the Word of God. Your biblical acumen is strong and credible, and quite frankly, your contributions here are important. The same cannot be said of most of the tedious dickslaps that pollute this forum with their unending know-nothing banality and childish, sinful attacks toward one another.
But your efforts have been rendered useless by posting in a sub forum nobody visits. If you have vital truths to share, pop, wouldn't you want to bestow them upon a larger audience? It's simple math. More readers = more potential believers = more souls saved.
To be blunt, I believe God would be disappointed in your half-assed efforts. You are doing His work via the path of least resistance. You want my opinion? I think you're afraid. Intimidated. Afraid of confrontation. Afraid of a logic so persuasive, that even you question yourself.
I say, free yourself of these shackles, and spread His Message in Cul de Smack. Only good can come of this, my friend. You can trust me on that one. After all, it was His guiding hand that helped me bring you back in the first place...

Here are my current contribution, then...
1. During chat on Friday night, Smackie Chan linked me to a blog a relative of his (nephew? Is that right?) has started.
He's a fat man, admittedly - and a Christian.
The man says he wants to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.
So I will read his blog and give my "review" of it.
I won't link to it, though, unless Smackie wants me to.
2. Justin Bieber has a Pastor.
Judah Smith is his name.
Out of curiosity, I looked him up and listened to a couple of his messages and his interviews.

Sadly, but not surprisingly, he is a "clown" Pastor.
But anyway, he wrote a book which came out last year, I think.
The book title is...
Jesus is __________?
So I will put Justin Bieber's Pastor's book title question out there for the good(?) people of T1B to mull over.

Son-in-law, thanks.
He said in his blog that he thinks he needs to drop 40lbs -- and that he finds it hard to climb away from the Golden Corral Breakfast Buffet.

Ain't gonna lie - he's a big boy and could stand to lose a few. But he's not as "fat" as he makes himself out to be.poptart wrote:Son-in-law, thanks.

Re: pop -- a word, please
Poptart, out of strictly morbid curiosity, why on earth did you cite Justin iniBriater's pastor as reference source?
Not exactly an example of a qualified or very knowledgeable individual.
So I guess His book title would be "Jesus is pissed" (British slang translation).

Three reasons.Jay wrote:Poptart, out of strictly morbid curiosity, why on earth did you cite Justin iniBriater's pastor as reference source?
1) The "Justin Bieber's Pastor" thang could spark some banter
2) His book title/question could spark some banter -- and work toward the greater good.
3) His haircut kicks ass!
That's what I'm lookin' for.Jay wrote:Jesus is pissed

I've read through his blog -- and have not been inspired.poptart wrote:The man says he wants to communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.
So I will read his blog and give my "review" of it.
Perhaps if I knew him I might see it differently.
There are ENDLESS things to read on the internet, and his entries are too long.
Long might be "ok" -- maybe, if he was articulating who Jesus Christ is, why we should believe in Him, and why it is even necessary to believe in Him.
I'll keep checking in on it for a while and maybe I'll change my tune.
Doubt it.
The situation in America is that almost everyone has at least heard of Jesus Christ, so people generally have some impression (or some opinion about Him) formed.
I'm quite sure most people have not been accurately informed of who He is, however.
It's humorous (sort of) how many people think Christ is Jesus' last name.
Or that H is His middle initial. :)
Bieber's pastor is a squirrel, but his question provides an opportunity to tell people.
You slaps in here are actually in a good place and time in world history -- so fortunate that poptart is here to relay the Truth to your sorry asses.
DO NOT take it lightly.
DO NOT piss it away.
Jesus is __________?
Jesus is the Christ.
Christ is the final and complete fulfillment of the three offices of the Old Testament -- Prophet, Priest, King.
Prophet: One who points the way to God
Priest: One who forgives sin
King: One who has all authority.
People are in the midst of eternal failure because they have been separated from God, their sin consumes them, and they are under the authority of satan -- so they go where he leads them.
Not good.
Prophet Christ brings a person back to God.
Priest Christ forgives their sin and makes them entirely Holy and blameless before God.
King Christ breaks satan's authority and has ALL AUTHORITY IN HEAVEN AND ON EARTH -- think about that? The ultimate "talk to the hand," isn't it?
The Truth.

Re: pop -- a word, please
Thank you, pop. Now THIS is what I'm looking for.
I have a question for you. What is the proper way to pray? I am struggling with it a little bit. It's possible I have a very trite view of the way prayer should be done.
Do you kneel down and get on both knees before your bed at night ? How do you receive Him?

What's the difference between a person praying in a church and a person praying in a casino?MgoBlue-LightSpecial wrote:What is the proper way to pray?
In a casino, they really mean it.

The position is not necessary -- but perhaps you could consult with Woody Allen on it.Mgo wrote:I have a question for you. What is the proper way to pray? I am struggling with it a little bit. It's possible I have a very trite view of the way prayer should be done.

Thank you, pop. Please ignore the juvenile responses.
To further my education on the matter, I have to ask -- how will you know when you've received Him? How does it make you feel?
As an aside, are you enjoying the Super Bowl, friend? What time is it in your new homeland, and where are you watching?
