Why would some "research" questionnaire need to put an (R) or a (D) in front of ignorance? Regardless of their politics, most people couldn't look up at the night sky and identify a planet from a star, much less a constellation.

Of those who could, few would be able to distinguish between Jupiter and Venus, Mars or Saturn. Most could care less, with their face buried in their I-phone, oblivious to the world and universe around them.

Such lack of awareness, of even the least bit of curiosity, is sadly disturbing.
