You're a wise man, Dan. Nothing more dastardly & malicious than a group of trolls, especially when in the presence of weakness. The ensuing pouncing, subduing, and ultimate consumption of whatever is left would be a sight no one should have to witness. I omitted the grisly details of what we as a pack did to the innocent, unsuspecting general population in the DC area with which we so deftly mingled, but suffice it to say that it would reinforce the well-deserved distrust you have for us. :twisted:Dan Vogel wrote:I wouldn't trust you in a group.

Gotta rack Smackie for even thinking about it and getting the ball rolling. It was not a good time for me and as it turned out, I got so sick recently I wouldn't have made it anyways.

Re: Troll stop weekend
A good time was had by all. Even though I was only there for 18 or so hours, I am glad I made the trip. I would hang out with any of that group again anytime.
Couple of observations that weren't already stated:
The pic of moving sale doesn't show his lower legs for a reason. Turns out he was standing on the bucket screwy uses to clean his mop. I'll see if I can find the one I took that includes the bucket.
I didn't get to talk to Screwy all that much at the game, but he seems like a good guy. I have to echo his comment regarding talking smack here and then being civil over a few beers, that is exactly what it is all about.
After the game we wanted to watch the end of the Kentucky vs Wisky game, but all the bars close to the stadium were packed. So we ended up heading back to our hotels and/or homes. The 88s and I made it back to the hotel bar just in time to see Kentucky hit the game winner. We then stayed and chatted for close to an hour over a few drinks. Turns out we have done many of the same things on vacations and have many similar items on our "bucket lists." We are also visiting the same state this summer, although I wish I was doing the 88 family version. That was the first time I had met Mrs 88, but the second or third time I had met 88. Great people.
Moving Sale has a ton of energy. Dude was all over the place up and down at the baseball game. Kept us all laughing though. Had to be careful not to step on him though. His son also has a ton of energy. While we were walking to a bar post game, MS and his son were running all over the place. They prolly went 4x the distance of the rest of us. Same as with Screwy I didn't get to spend too much time with MS, but would hesitate to get together again. I also enjoyed speaking with his son when he was sitting down. I promised him a week or two in the life of a pilot thread one of these days as he was interested in where I was earlier that day and where I was going on Sunday. MS you will have to relay that once I put one up.
Smackie and mama, what great hosts! Goodie bags were provided with snacks, a horn, music and more. It was immediately obvious the thought that went into this get together. I really enjoyed just hanging around at brunch on Sunday swapping stories and laughs. The overloaded Highlander and snakes on a plane were my two favorites. Too bad they live a 1000 miles away, cause I could see a monthly dinner if they were closer. If y'all ever make it out this way, please let me return the favor of being the host.
I also thought that Smackie's impression of me is pretty spot on. Dude is clearly a good judge of character or characters. I am pretty laid back and it takes a ton to get me really worked up. I do enjoy good conversations and travel.
The reason I was only able to arrive on Saturday evening was due to my football schedule. I was invited to work two spring scrimmages in Michigan on Friday and Saturday. Friday afternoon I worked the Michigan State practice in the bubble. Then hit the EL bars Friday night. Saturday morning it was off to work the Eastern Michigan practice on their game field. One note that stadium isn't anywhere near campus just in case you ever need to go there. After the video review of my performance by multiple B1G and MAC officials it was off to the airport and my flight to DCA.

dodgers maybe?
i take it the beady eyed alien looking fukk is MS? and the dude next to him is screw? not sure if that is the "forced smile, trying to look innocent look or the mildly retarded look.
my take on the rest.....
88 (I think) - looks like an eastern european politician.
mrs 88 - nice, school marmish. is probably a lot of fun after a few fifths of vodka.
mama - mama looks like fun right out of the gate. probably end up in jail after a few fifths of vodka.
Smackie - form the tiny bit I can see in the pic, is fatter than he sounds. He has a skinny dude with a ponytail and john lennon classes voice. I suspect the 1984 smackie was prolly right about there.
