2014 NFL SCHEDULE
Re: 2014 NFL SCHEDULE
OAKLAND
@NYJ
HOU
@NE
MIA (London)
BYE
SD
AZ
@ CLE
@SEA
DEN
@SD
KC
@ RAMS
SF
@KC
BUF
@ DEN
- Most difficult schedule in the league, based on winning pct of teams last season
- The early bye sucks -- and it seems the Raiders get that every season.
- The two early east coast games (and then one in October @ CLE) aren't that disturbing. It's a given that Oakland travels east a couple/few times -- and it's better to get 'em out of the way early, so as to avoid cold weather.
- The only potential cold weather games will be the December games @KC and @DEN. Not too bad.
- 6 of the last 10 games are roadies -- and 3 of those home games are tough (DEN, KC, SF). Probable poor finish to the season once again, imo.
All told, the schedule is not that favorable.
Could be worse, sure, but it could also be a lot better.
Fuck the early bye.
Oakland's GM didn't improve the roster nearly as much as he should have, given the fact that Oakland was in THE best cap position in the league this offseason.
Oakland's coach is piss-weak.
I expect 4 to 6 wins.

Re: 2014 NFL SCHEDULE
Brutal. For the Chargers, schedules seem to mean nothing though. A new year, new hope.
Re: 2014 NFL SCHEDULE
Yeah, the NFC West is pretty horrifying. There are no easy outs there. Even the Rams are no pushover.

Detroit Lions
vs NY Giants
@ Carolina
vs Green Bay
@ NY Jets
vs Buffalo
@ Minnesota
vs New Orleans
@ Atlanta
vs Miami
@ Arizona
@ New England
vs Chicago
vs Tampa Bay
vs Minnesota
@ Chicago
@ Green Bay
If everything comes together, if Caldwell is the right fit, if the defense improves, if the offense is consistent, if there's leadership and chemistry, if there's structure and discipline, if they stay healthy, if they get all the calls and lucky bounces, and if the moon and the stars align just right...
...I can see the Lions going 7-9.
