41 Warren Zevon - "Werewolves of London (Live)" 05:15
Yeah, he was still around for that, but not much longer afterward. Tommy Tutone ran him. Speaking of being run, I shoulda tried to get to this one before you ran yourself:poptart wrote:Good job gettin' Wagon's !!ZEP!! in there before he passed out... presumably.

Isn't that the case with pretty much every song you like?War Wagon wrote:8675309 my gawd how that song has been pounded into the dirt
Uh, no. There was this other band that's from there, though. You may have heard of them.War Wagon wrote:What Mgo said, except I think they're from Liverpool.
Jones and Page were from suburbs of London, Kent and Heston.War Wagon wrote:What Mgo said, except I think they're from Liverpool. And while you're at it, some Pink Floyd would be nice too. I bet nobody has ever heard of that band, still trying to figure out which one is Pink.

I take that back. BtS songs haven't been played on FM radio ad nauseam. But there's a good reason for that.I wrote:Isn't that the case with pretty much every song you like?War Wagon wrote:8675309 my gawd how that song has been pounded into the dirt
That's one explanation, and it's indisputably true. But there are others equally compelling. And poor taste isn't limited to the masses.MgoBlue-LightSpecial wrote:The masses have awful taste.
You're right about Kent, as that is an urban district Sidcup, of SE London, which is a borough of Hexley. Heston is in the London Borough of Hounslow, which is considered a suburb of West London. I sourced it from a biography of the band, I just didn't specify it to the degree I did here.Dinsdale wrote:Jay in Phoenix wrote: Jones and Page were from suburbs of London, Kent and Heston.
I don't think the word "suburb" means what you (or whoever you copied that from) think it means.
Buck up, friendo. It's just a message board.Dinsdale wrote:Uh... no.Jay in Phoenix wrote:Happy?
Yep, you're right. My bad. The bio had a misleading way that it referenced Kent.Dinsdale wrote:Uh... no. Kent is a county.
I hear it is populated by werewolves who run amok.Dinsdale wrote:Uh... no. Kent is a county.

I would've thought you'd catch the facetious nature of that statement. Guess not.Uh, no. There was this other band that's from there, though. You may have heard of them.
