Kansas City is so much better than St. Louis.

Love,

Too bad you're slightly smaller than us populationwise, yet can't seem to field a decent team if your fountains depended on it.

Fountains; something for people who have water and need to do something gay with it.

No it isn't, it is Loo-is. The first part of your name is dedicated to the 5 hours of nothing to the west of your town. The first part of your name is dedicated to the region God is trying to wipe off the map with tornadoes.

You might as well root for Giddens and company.

And the state in which you live is also pronounced "Mizz-ur-ee" rather than "Mizz-ur-uh", but I guaran-damn-tee that you use the latter.

May you die a long and excruciatingly painful death for such blasphemy.

Look Bubfelice, we Tiggers fans here in KC are on the front lines of this border war. Nary a day goes by I'm not confronted by a smug, condescending Jaypuke fan in all their putrid gear. Kinda' reminds me of how St. Loser fan acts towards their younger brother to the west, and explains my disdain.

Needless to say, they all get put in their place by this lifelong KCMO resident.

In for any and all sig bets.

Could use some updates on this thread this weekend concerning the series. Doubt I will see any of it even if it is/were on television out here. I have some family issues going and aout to head back out the door at any rate. Keep me posted.

Well, you've got that going for you, which is nice. I cringe whenever I hear it pronounced wrong. My experience has generally been that people in the western part of the state say it differently than those from back east.

Norm Stewart, bless his heart, always put the 'uh' at the end. How in hell anyone can see the name Missouri and think the 'i' sounds like that is beyond me

Actually i believe it's a Bible Belt thing, the Mizzurah, only time i heard it, was trying to shag a girl from Cape. All the peoples used the rah at end. For the love of god, atleast be able to pronounce the state you were born in!!

Dickie V sez "Missourah." Hearing that almost makes me wish he goes back to talking about Duke.

You hear Dooling on Rome's show today? Rome couldn't stop gushing about the guy afterwards.

how is that any different than what he does with every other guest?
Usually Rome sez "That was great. Mike Tyson just told me he eats his own poo. Solid Jungle guy." For Keyon, Rome said "This guy's backwash tastes like cherry kool-aid."

After this weekend, Eckstein will be glad that he won't have to set foot in Kaufmann again this year. 3 errors in the first two innings today? Shades of Buddy Biancalana.
