This has been happening for quite some time now on a daily basis and it's no surprise when it occurs on an important night like Election Day. What is surprising is that a major network, oh, like CBS or CNN perhaps, doesn't do what each of them already do-- namely which is copy the more successful competition down to a T. Why CBS or CNN and not one of the other liberal, err mainstream

Rather than fight for ratings scraps and crumbs falling from the news table , one of these entities could go head-to-head with Fox and crush their competition on the Left. Granted, they aren't going to win the ratings war with Fox News itself, but to be in a strong second place is far, far preferable to being MSNBC or Brian Williams' personal political soapbox. All the better for it to be one of the three free networks because then they would pick up everything in the late afternoon/early evening news hour.
I've often scratched my head over this and can only surmise that it is the stranglehold that the Left has on the media and higher education which has prevented this from taking place, because at its' core these are businesses which are losing dollars for a misplaced ideology.
