Why does no network take on Fox directly?

This has been happening for quite some time now on a daily basis and it's no surprise when it occurs on an important night like Election Day. What is surprising is that a major network, oh, like CBS or CNN perhaps, doesn't do what each of them already do-- namely which is copy the more successful competition down to a T. Why CBS or CNN and not one of the other liberal, err mainstream :meds: media outlets? Because the initials lend themselves to giving the networks a complete makeover in the Fox tradition.

Rather than fight for ratings scraps and crumbs falling from the news table , one of these entities could go head-to-head with Fox and crush their competition on the Left. Granted, they aren't going to win the ratings war with Fox News itself, but to be in a strong second place is far, far preferable to being MSNBC or Brian Williams' personal political soapbox. All the better for it to be one of the three free networks because then they would pick up everything in the late afternoon/early evening news hour.

I've often scratched my head over this and can only surmise that it is the stranglehold that the Left has on the media and higher education which has prevented this from taking place, because at its' core these are businesses which are losing dollars for a misplaced ideology.

To copy them would be admitting defeat.

Anybody heard or seen OAN?

One America News Network is Fox lite, reporting the news from a conservative viewpoint but w/o all the blather and obvious bias, for the most part. I also enjoy watching BBC America at times.

In other news, I saw an ad on MSNBC the other day bragging that they had higher ratings than CNN for their morning show with Joe. Of course the two combined probably can't touch Fox's ratings on a daily basis.

I probably watch CNN half the time to get what I believe is the least biased reporting. But I watch MSNBC quite often for the chuckle value... and to know what the enemy is gripping about at any particular moment. Say what you will about Rachel Maddow, but she is one sharp bitch who can drill down into a story like few others.

I only watch Fox to ogle the hotties or maybe to get the straight dope from Neil Cavuto.

Maddow is an unwatchable smug cunt. The only person on TV that I want to punch right through the screen is bill o'reilly and maybe sean hannity.

I have been watching OAN as well. I like it. I like that dude on at night and his "mamaluke of the day".
