Your bucket list

Post by Left Seater »

So yesterday I was able to check one item off of my bucket list. Of course there will be a PET to follow next week, but it got me to thinking what other times in need to put on. Y list now that there is an open spot. The one I just checked involved a beach and a 747.

What are your top three bucket list items?

So, you just visited Maho Beach and experienced the jet blast?

Good luck with #3 Sam.
Goals? A couple that have to do with living long enough and they are to pay off my mortgage (2 more years) and have my twin Granddaughters be able to remember me.
I really have no other pressing desires. At one point it was a southbound through hike of the Appalachian Trail. No longer doable for sure. If I had the resources, would like to
catch a home ball game of every major league team. Only have four so far (Yankees, Mets, Dodgers, and Rays). At any rate at age 75, ten more years would be cool. My recent surgery
may have helped that happen.

Damn it! I guess I am totally transparent to you bastards.

Yes, I stood on Maho beach as the KLM 747 flew over. I also shot pics of idiots hanging on the fence as it took off. One lady from a cruise ship was pretty seriously injured.

On top of that I got to land here as well. Then the wife joined me and we are making a vacation out of it. My wife has a good photo of me hanging on the fence taking photos and y'all can laugh at me. But of course I thought of y'all and took a photo of the 20 something in a bikini while the plane flew over as well.

If you make it up to Orient Beach, have a bite to eat at Aloha, and give my love to Natalie. She might have one of my Valentine's Day cards there. Or stop in at Andy & Cheryl's (right before the start of the clothing optional section of Orient), they fly in mussels and clams from the East Coast. Topper's in Simpson Bay has a killer Osso Buco special on Friday nights, but you usually have to reserve your Osso Buco when you reserve the table. Not far from the airport is a not-so-well-known gem, Karakter Beach, don't miss the bus. Also in Simpson Bay, Skip Jack's is decent for seafood, and there's a killer little pizza joint right next to it. Be sure to take the old lady to Cupecoy Beach for a nice addition to your PET.

You're welcome.

Will prolly skip Orient since they are harvesting sea weed over there by the tons.

Have been to Skipjack's and Karacters already. Our locale is about a 10 minute walk down the beach from the bus so we have been a few times.

Will try Topper's tonight.

Hopefully "Elvis" will be singing after dinner. Local talent, has a kind of Karaoke setup, but he does most of the signing (Topper occasionally joins him). Beautiful voice, sings everything from pop to opera. If he's there, be sure to request "Con te partirò".

Topper is way cool. He also got one of my cards.

While an understandable goal, remember the old risk versus reward caveat, Sam.

Michael Douglas blamed his tongue cancer on having oral sex with CZ-J. While he also blamed his smoking, that must be some "killer punanny".

Alaska is amazing! I've done a cruise and then in August we drove 2700 miles of it and touched the Arctic Ocean. Amazing. I can't wait to go back and explore more.

My top 3......

1. Tahiti
2. Base camp volunteer at Everest
3. Raiders game in Oakland

And the one i have no control over is seeing a live in person goalie fight.

I didn't do it to impress a bunch of dorks on the internet, and I certainly had no intentions of ever snapping pics (why do you want to see my cahk, anyway? Just picture your own, then enlarge it by an order of magnitude).

Nope, I merely participated so I could experience firsthand the pleasures-of-the-cleft.
