Trolling?

Bama has put up offensive numbers against their cupcake schedule.

Oregon has played 3 very good defenses (Stanford was by far #1 in the country at the time). They moved the ball at will on all of them. The dropped over 40 on all of them. They blew them all out.

What happened when Bama played a decent defense (LSU)? Their offense looked laughably bad. Ole Miss has an OK defense -- and Bama couldn't do much against them.

Want your YPG to go up? Play Bama's schedule.

But the real joke of your argument is your creative use of stats -- ask Stanford, MSU, or Utah what happens to your defensive stats after you play Oregon.

You're obviously trolling, since I know you're not actually this dumb.

You should actually watch an Oregon game sometime, since you OBVIOUSLY haven't -- defense isn't so impressive, the offense is better than any team Oregon has ever fielded (not up for debate).

And in the end, an offense revolves around the QB. This is where you're "argument" makes it really obvious you're trolling, since no one is that stupid, or that much of a SECBSH.

Shall I do a search and post your myriad comments over the years about how Sagarin sucks? Or does it not suck when it supports your argument?

Newsflash -- Sagarin rankings start with the polls in the early weeks, until the database grows. So guess what? The SEC Free Pass is reflected in the Sagarins, as well.

But seriously -- anyone who even remotely compares Bama's offense to Oregon's is either very dumb, or needs to change the batteries in their TV remote, since they're stuck on the SECN.

The best player in the country at QB, or a guy who might well struggle in JuCo... hmmmm, let me think on that one.

Better QB, better RBs, better OL... but I'll give Bama the edge at WR, because of one player, who really is dripping with awesomesauce.

And don't fall for it -- Sam is trolling hard, and rather transparently. He isn't this dumb, nor is he new to CFB.

Then again, he's looking at a stats sheet, so maybe he really is that naïve.

All you have to ask yourself if you're a defensive coordinator is... would you rather face Marcus Mariota or Blake Sims? Also, I'm pretty sure Oregon could muster more than 14 points against Arkansas.

Why don't you sub in the second-string offensive line, then go up against the #1 offense in the country, and get back to me.

But the reality -- every team has a bad game here and there... the good teams still win them.

And if you're trying to compare Sims to Mariota, you need to see a doctor immediately -- either an optometrist or a psychologist, one or the other.

anybody could give up 31 to Leach. not every time, but it can happen. you might score 60 but giving up 31 can happen.

so, what is this thread about.....40 less total yards per game=better offense? how many 4th quarter snaps is Mariota gonna take in games mostly out of reach and blowouts vs a first year starter replacing Mister Everything AJ? UO has games won early where the object is get MM out of the game....whereas, in that same time of game Sims is gonna be taking snaps because he is inexperienced. he needs reps.

those are still stats in the mix....averaged in to current ypg.

Alabama has been a great offensive team for a while, don't see what stroking Sam needs here....

Sam here is some of my perception on SEC football.

Take the LSU vs Bama game last Saturday. Heard all this noise about what a great performance it was etc, etc. I watch the last few minutes and OT in full and saw other parts of the game.

That was mostly bad football.

Start with the Bama fumble deep in LSU territory. LSU then takes a big penalty and the are behind the sticks and have to kick. Then the kickoff goes out of bounds prior to playing a prevent defense. As you know Bama ties it.

In OT LSU doesn't cover a TE on a Tackle over and almost a TD on the first snap.

Then LSU has a guy wide open who would have gained 10 yards at least on their first OT snap and he drops it. The thy throw a pass 15 feet out of bounds. On the final snap the LSU QB likely could have run for the first down and instead tried to force a pass into the end zone.

That wasn't good football, but it was nail biting which many mistake for good football. Further because it had playoff implications the media was gushing all over it. Had that been Northwestern and Iowa you and others most likely would have called it offensive ineptitude. Were it FIU and Troy you and others would have correctly labeled it bad football. Same plays and results regardless of the helmets has to be labeled the same.

And Freeman is a better RB than Yeldon.

And Either Grasu or Fisher is better than any OL Bama has (don't know if you missed it, but the OL has been the knock on Bama all year... shall we do a search for posts by... you on the subject?).

What Bama does have on offense, besides a dreadful QB, is Cooper. Which is a great equalizer in any game.

when you are playing 3 QB's you are still trying to score. figure things out. your offense is still playing. MM is having a hot dog.
