Rock & roll lost one of its greats, although many may not have heard of him. Despite Dinsdale's assertions that the Rolling Stones are overrated and not worthy of the adulation & riches they've received, they did associate themselves with one of the best sax players - Bobby Keys - who died today. He worked with the Stones for 45 years and could keep up with Keith when it came to partying. RIP (This Joint), Bobby.

One of their best songs, for sure, if not the best.
I'm sure Dins will be along shortly to agree.

Any time dims and I agree, you might want to check your stance on said subject.
That being said, Bobby Keys was a good man in a shit band.

I'm guessing Dins will now lobby to become head of the Stones' fan club.Moving Sale wrote:Any time dims and I agree, you might want to check your stance on said subject.

Bobby got a mention on the CBS evening news tonight, citing and playing/showing a clip of this song as one of his most famous. Probably not the same clip but close enough.

He has been a part of the stones pretty damn near forever, but, he is not considered a "stone", just one of many hired guns. Seems kind of bullshit to me that such an integral part of the band isn't really part of the band. I suspect that this was reflected on dude's paystub.
RIP

Mick makes Freddie Mercury look like Sean Connery.
And yes, I'd dress that way too if it meant I could pull the ass he was in 1972.

[derailment]I'm sure they'll try to have you believe that the Stones are the World's Greatest Rock & Roll Band, Michael Brown had his hands up, and Obama's likeness should be carved into Mt. Rushmore.[/derailment]War Wagon wrote:Bobby got a mention on the CBS evening news
